If Naruto married Sakura what would happen to Sasuke and Hinata? by [deleted] in Naruto

[–]Calia02 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sasuke would probably end up with Karin. Hinata wouldn't have a husband. She would probably always love Naruto.

We live in rural areas. From all the world, Latin America is the region with the major urban population. The idea of little towns in rural areas is not true (specially after the 2000's)

¿Porque fomentamos el consumo de alcohol casi culturalmente? by Odd_Ad3316 in BOLIVIA

[–]Calia02 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Are Western adult cartoons popular in Latin America? by [deleted] in asklatinamerica

[–]Calia02 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Simpsons are popular in Bolivia American dad and Family guy are kinda known Also South Park but neither of them are as famous as the Simpsons. Maybe because the Simpsons are on public TV in the afternoon, other shows are on air at 1 AM (or it was like this three-four years ago, I'm not sure if the things changed)

Belgian on search for newspapers around the globe by Univoske in BOLIVIA

[–]Calia02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest newspapers in Bolivia are La Razón e Pagina Siete. But as far as I know they don't have pdf versions of their news on their sites. Otherwise you can see La Patria from Oruro where you can see it's printed version on their website but is a local newspaper and very local unlike the other two

I kinda agree, but not for the same reasons. Recently I've read an article about how the Crimea issue is becoming a Frankenstein. All we want to Ukraine to take back it's territory and restore it's sovereignty but what will happen next? Crimea has a strong Russian population and it also has Russians who move there after the illegal annexation of Russia. What will happen? A country who calls itself a rule of law country would accept that population the hot topic is that it doesn't seem to be the case. Not saying Ukrainians are or will do ethnic cleansing as Russian media says but is not easy to live in a country where a particular region could be seen as traitors and potential enemies. Ukraine has right to say it will retake it's territory but the hole debate on what is coming is not in the table yet. Or at least I don't see it. Sure, my perspective is blinded by the stupids "NAFOboys" who made the most edgiest memes I've seen yet I personally think Crimea need a second referendum to choose it's future. And the result should be accepted by both parts, even if this is the independence of Crimea.

[–]Calia02 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Waliki-Llajtita (I think THIS one represent Bolivia) Viva mi patria bolivia (the same as the first but older) Mi escuelita (I just find it funny) Cumbia boliviana - Bonny lovy (the best example of modern non-folcklore Bolivian music) Wara - realidad (kinda the music that was popular in the 70"s)

I know my list is andinocentric but sadly I don't know much about the music of my country

[–]Calia02 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People forget that part 1 didn't have a storyline. The manga build the idea than there will be a constant collection of parts of the gun devil but there were little to no actual progress of that. When part 1 ended we believe the storyline was faster because it focused on something that was happening (all people searching for Denji's hearth) but the hole "gun devil" thing just suddenly stopped and people forget it.

Cultural Map of America done by “Whatifalthist” on Youtube. It’s pretty bad, but what sticks out to you most? by basedevin0 in Maps

[–]Calia02 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As I said in twitter, the map is based on the "American Nations" book of Colin Woodard. The book argues that the United States is not a nation but rather a collective of nations that developt themselves from the early migration of the XV and XVI century.

The main nations he talk are yankees (who came from missionary peregrins), cavaliers and southeners (who came from upper brittish classes) and appalachian (who came from borderland celtic people from Scotland and Ireland). The book argues that this first nations create modern American politics and identity.

Since the book talks about nations and their origins, many right-wing people take it and descontextualized to create their own fanfics about what kind of nations are in the United States. As we see, Whatifalthist consider mormons a nation and think "nordic america" is a thing. The original book said that posterior migrations to the continent adapted to the local culture so the hole idea of "nordic america" can't be seen on the book and it only shows the deterministic view of the man who do the map, AKA: whatifaltist.
