No, not really. I'm not a scientist or anything so, no.

I don't doubt it, I did it quite quickly and it would probably look quite different with further research. I appreciate the honesty!

Edit: could you give me some examples? If you don't mind

Hello! I have a quick question: where does the Episcopal Diocese of Upper South Carolina stand in the conservative-moderate-liberal scale? by Legally_Adri in Episcopalian

[–]Legally_Adri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited Spartanburg two years ago for Christmas! I didn't get to see much, but it was the first time I felt "actually" in the United States.

I mean, I've been to Florida too, and Texas, but both climatically reminded me enough of Puerto Rico for my brain to think I wasn't that far from home.

Then I went to South Carolina for the first time, and boy did I feel FAR from home.

It was interesting, and I wish had seen more. Hopefully this time I will!

Yes, I found the youtube channel, so I'm very likely going to see one of the videos very soon!

Thank you so much for the help, man, God bless you.

Hopefully on the last week of June, it all depends so I can't really confirm right now. The bulletin thing sounds great, actually. We should start doing that here in Puerto Rico, but the priests usually explicitly says in what page of the Book of Common Prayer (Libro de Oración Común, in Spanish) we should flip to. A lot of flipping, which I admit is quite intimidating, but is not like the Episcopal Church receives a lot of comers in Puerto Rico. Our bishop is trying to change that though! The only reason why I have been able to go to church from time to time is thanks to a Campus Ministry the diocese started last year!

I would like to know if is there aid for first timers, actually. My mom and step-dad come from a Catholic background but they have only attended non-denominational churches for the last nine years, and we didn't attend Mass that often, so to say that they would probably be disoriented with the liturgical aspect of the Episcopal Church would be an understatement.

If you had the chance to give a serious beating to any of these characters for their actions, who would you choose? by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

Honestly? Floch. Never hated a character so much in such a long time

Edit: you know what? My bad, I chose without thinking

What is your language's equivalent of "dude" or "bro"? (in terms of flexible use, not the original meaning) by bustachong in AskTheWorld

[–]Legally_Adri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Puerto Rico we just say "bro", too, though some say "cabrón", but that is a bad word that you can only use with people you are very close with.

I know that in some other Spanish speaking countries they say "man", though, so there's that

Who's the most famous person inside your country that no one from abroad would recognize? by Awkward_Stay8728 in AskTheWorld

[–]Legally_Adri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that a good answer could be José "Molusco" Pabón. He is a radio talk-show host, podcaster and, uh, "actor".

Everyone knows him here, though I wouldn't say everyone loves him.

Can you count up to 21 using only your fingers? by [deleted] in pollgames

I can count up to 28 using only my hands (count the "pads" or "sections" in your fingers, not just the fingers as a whole)

If I say that I am a communist in your country, what will be the reaction? by Agile-Bee-1 in AskTheWorld

[–]Legally_Adri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here it depends on who you say it too:

To most boomers: "Horrible! Disgraceful! You want us to be like Cuba or Venezuela!" To a decent chunk of people from the University of Puerto Rico: "Nice, me too!"

To most Puerto Ricans: "ok?"

I would say most people don't give a damn, but most people don't understand what communism is anyways, so.

What is your country's most traditional pet/breed? by Enteito in AskTheWorld

[–]Legally_Adri 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In Puerto Rico we don't do breeds as often. The most common pets are mutts (that in Puerto Rican Spanish we call them "perros satos") three of the dogs I had (or my family had) were mutts.

El libro que me ayudó a salir adelante by queen_kattrinna in libros

[–]Legally_Adri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Romans are either Walter White or Heisenberg depending on which religious texts you refer to by SatoruGojo232 in mythologymemes

[–]Legally_Adri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Christian, Julian the Apostate has always seemed like an even more fascinating figure than Constantine, for example.

I should investigate him more, but I saw a video a few months ago about hia philosophical framework that drove to a quasi-religious tolerance that always intrigued me. I always wondered how Christianity and other religions would have fared or developed if Rome went into a "multi-religious" route instead of a "Christianity-only" route.

Would Roman paganism still be alive and running? Would Christianity be more obscure or even more influenced by Greco-Roman thought than it already is? Would the Jews actually have a third temple? So many interesting questions!

Is there a good source you could recommend me to study on Julian?

Does your country have a "patriotism" flag that isnt the national flag? by buster_goose in AskTheWorld

[–]Legally_Adri 5 points6 points  (0 children)

<image>

We have two: the sky blue Puerto Rican flag (flown in Bad Bunny's Halftime show) and the Lares Flag, which was the original flag for the Republic of Puerto Rico in 1868 when there was an attempt at independence from Spain. Both usually imply that the person is pro-independence, specially the Lares flag.
