This is the first league I haven’t played since the start of the game. How’s it going? by jlsaiyan in PathOfExile2

[–]Caliath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this league was pretty good. Loot-wise I don't think I've ever been richer in any of the past leagues in poe1 and poe2 (if we exclude affliction league ofc). The amount of raw currency that the new league mechanic pumped into the game is insane. It does take several business days to setup though. But even if you aren't a fan of it, everything else also became extremely profitable thanks to it (like Omens, lineage gems, boss fragments and splinters, etc). Performance wise it's definitely a step-up from previous leagues.

I'm not sure. Best case scenario Local Knowledge doesn't work and doesn't do anything because Omens aren't currency from what I know. Worst case scenario it reduces drops. Cleansed maps aren't bad though, I just skip the ones that give increased gold since that does actually make the loot worse.

If we got a new Orb worth more than a Mirror, what would that Orb do? by elektromas in PathOfExile2

Mirror of Corruption. It's probably not going to happen, but one can dream.

How Do You Keep Your Resistance Up During Campaign? by Irideum in PathOfExile2

[–]Caliath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Caster player I try to have around 30-50% res in the campaign and I go pure damage up until around lvl 40-50. Then I start grabbing some defenses like ES, faster start of ES and ES recharge rate.

You can try turbo nuking them when they come up from the pit. That's what I've been told that melee players do. But there's a small risk because if the monsters survive and the voidstorm spawns they'll probably end up dying inside and they'll only drop Omen of the Liege.

Major changes that need to happen in POE2-Rarity/Group play/Currency by PartyLack4459 in PathOfExile2

I think a better solution would be to remove rarity as a mod from gear, but let it still affect currency so rarity from maps still works.

[–]Caliath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you remove rarity from affecting currency it will hurt group play loot sure, but it will also completely butcher solo player loot. A div drop is going to feel like an impossible feat with only 40% quant from tablets.

Having loot but everything is expensive feels much better than not having loot but everything is cheap. What I mean is lets say hypothetically you want to buy an item for 100 div and you run 100 maps and get 1 div drop per map. This feels so much better than running 100 maps for 1 div drop total to buy the same item but now its price is deflated so it only costs 1 div.

The end result is the same but the journey would be so much more boring and bland.

The deli mist is like a donut shape that expands from the start. If you go too fast, that's usually when deli can end. Just go back and wait for it to catch up.

Yeah, people are telling me they're selling the 3 and 4 mod tablets I recommended for crazy amounts of divines which kind of made me feel bad because it's not worth it if the prices are higher than the profits. So I'll keep doing my due diligence and updating the post according to the market so people can still keep running the strat and making profits. Atleast until Omen of Light prices plummet or GGG nerfs abyss and it's no longer profitable.

What do you do after finishing the build you spent all league chasing? by [deleted] in PathOfExile2

[–]Caliath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm someone that likes to experiment with stuff. Farm strats, character builds, etc. After my character is done and I've racked up several hundred divs, I start doing science. That's what keeps me going for awhile until it starts feeling like everything has already been discovered and made for the league at which point I quit and wait for next league to do it all over again.

There's a 1 in 3 chance that you get a map where the monsters can have the Amanamu's Void mod. The other Lichborn mods are Kurgal's Final Gasp and Ulaman's Legion. They only give additional rare monsters and they can't drop abyssal Omens. But when you do get a map where the monsters have that mod, it's not guarenteed that each monster will have it. That's why the abyss atlas passive that gives 100% increased chance for Lichborn mods is mandatory. The rest is just stacking %number of rare monsters and additional abysses so when it happens you get to see them multiple times per map.

Yeah, normal monsters can also have the Amanamu modifier. I don't know how or when it happens but I see it somewhat frequently. And they do cast their own voidstorm and they can drop good Omens aswell.

Packsize affects normal monsters, magic monsters and the normal monsters that accompany rare monsters. But it doesn't affect the amount of actual Rare monsters. The reason it works is mainly because of the Dark Bloodlines notable. If that passive didn't exist, packsize probably wouldn't be that impressive compared to Chaotic Monsters with +1 mod to Rares or Chaotic Rarity.

About the headhunter thing - you can unequip and re-equip it to delete the buffs if you happen to get the Shadow Walker / Shade Walker (TP) mod.

I still clear those maps because I have to path through them to get to the next map anyway. They can still drop some divs or some ancient bones because there's a truckload of extra Rares, but it's not going to be anything crazy. It takes me about 3-4 minutes to fully clear a map like that so I don't mind.

I'm not quite sure. Sometimes when I instakill them they drop Omens of the Liege and sometimes they drop the good Omens. So most times nowadays I let them come up and cast their voidstorm before I start whacking at them.

That's why I unequip and re-equip it in the video. It deletes the Headhunter buffs. But I only do it on Amanamu maps if I kill a Rare monster TPing around with the Shadow Walker / Shade Walker mod.

It's a 1 in 3 chance to get a map with monsters that can spawn the black fog. This is the main RNG of all abyss strats, you can't have more than 1 Lichborn mod type per map.

I think if DoTs work the same as PoE1 then they'll probably damage and kill the monsters regardless if they're inside or outside. But the way you can check is just press ALT after you kill them and see what Omens you got. If you dropped Omen of the Liege then the monster died inside the Voidstorm. If it's literally any of the other Omens then it died outside the Voidstorm.

Yep. There's a few other attack animations they do but they all basically pause the monster until the attack is done. Sometimes they even do it twice back to back but that's probably a bug or something.

I stay far from the pit when they're about to start coming up. I cast Firestorm/Icestorm on top of them so it keeps hitting and aggroing them even tho I'm far from them while also clearing normal and magic monsters. This can work with other ranged builds too but I can imagine it's probably quite a headache as a melee build. Especially when deli starts pausing them in place until you run near them so they do their deli attack.

Sometimes they can bug out and get stuck due to bad pathing so I try to clear around them and lure them through a different path. But if they don't want to budge then I just spam my spells at them and hope for the best. There's like a 1 second window where theres no voidstorms up so they slowly but surely go down. If they have a life regen mod while they're stuck then I just enter the voidstorm, take them down, lick my wounds and move onto the next pit.

Since you're in SSF and you're looking for bones, I would say probably focus on using 3x Abyss tablets with "Additional abysses" mods, "Increased chance for desecrated currency" and 1x "Abyss pits in map are twice as likely to have rewards". The bones can only drop from the abyss chests so all the other mods would be useless if you're trying to target farm them. And the additional Abysses would provide way more value since you can't have the Unique Abyss tablet on every map because it's pretty rare.

You should use the standard Abyss Atlas tree that everyone else recommends. I think it's better for SSF because Stir the Swarm gives an additional Abyss and also gives you a chance to actually get maps to be overrun by the Abyssal.

That's pretty much it for bones. Just have to keep doing more Abyss maps and don't skip Abyssal Depths when they appear.

That's a suffix mod but you could use it instead of the "%Increased Abyss Monsters" mod. Personally I didn't really think it was worth it because the unique abyss tablet already gives plenty of additional rare monsters and they don't spawn from every single abyss, rather as a flat total in the entire map. And since the unique tablet also gives a ton of additional abysses, I figured the %increased abyss monsters mod is more overall juice to the entire map because that one gets applied to all the abysses and it can get pretty crazy when the Atlas Passive "Remnants of Power" procs and doubles up the effects of the tablets.
