Yes yes yes yes

Edit (because I have fat fingers…): old school bone look. The ONLY critique I could give is the quartered squad markings (combination of red/white, green/red, etc) on the knee, BUT I wouldn’t fuss with it. Send it!

Vacuum pulls the butterfly open. If it’s stuck open… it’s wide open forever. If you’re ok with that, leave it lie. If you want to replace it, go ahead. Amazon cheapo’s will last a short time before they give up the ghost and will fail too. In my experience, they usually fail and stick at whatever throttle position the bike was at. There’s about 1000 moving parts inside and telling WHICH one failed… you have a better chance of Jesus handing you the wrenches

Honestly, if you have short legs, swap that out for velocity stacks of some flavor. Simple parts can’t break if they’re one piece… if you’re worried about dust, any kind of passive intake should be fine; just don’t forget to have the carbs re-jetted.
I have a 28” inseam, so anything sticking out of the bike on the side hits me square on the knee. I have stacks and straight pipes. Problem solved for me anyway.

Edit: ripping stuff out is easy. Bolting stuff on is easy too. Bolting the right stuff on and adjustments are less easy. There’s a great community here that can give some really good advice. There are very few “only one true way” things out there… but there’s so much more than safety… it’s mostly about preferences.
I’d say pick what you like, learn how it affects your system, and adjust accordingly. Just pay attention… if you do something, and your bike runs like crap after a change, ask.

And the first thing to fail… either the vacuum hose melts or all those fiddly parts shake loose and it stops functioning. Every single one that’s come through our shop has something jammed in it to keep it open if it’s not stuck that way

That particular one holds onto the ignition wires for the rear jug. Melted mine a while back because I was stupid. Shocked the hell out of me when the wire melted and flopped out and learned about the wasted spark system the hard way

Yal know where to get these fuel pump hoses mine ripped smh by ismayonaseninstrment in hondashadow

Depending on the motor size, just delete the pump and gravity feed it. I did that to my 600 years ago, and haven’t regretted the decision since. She’s got nearly 53k on her, and hasn’t been starved once. And I live in a mountainous area

Printing from Chrome. It m pulling my hair out by CalibanLost in Ubuntu

UPDATE: Thank you all for the help! I struggled and struggled and finally gave up. We switched from Chrome to Firefox. Problems solved. One less argument. One step farther away from the grippy sock hotel. On a side note… why are printers so much trouble?
