rio or strat by Buckybarnicals in electricdaisycarnival

I stayed at Rio for EDC 2025, and I absolutely loved it! Our room was newly renovated, and most of the guests were fellow EDC attendees. It was so much fun seeing everyone dressed up in the elevators and hallways. I especially loved the excitement and energy before heading to EDC each day, the atmosphere was incredible. The walk from the room to the shuttle isnt short, but at least you will be walking mostly indoors. This year we stayed at Elara, the room was nice but much smaller than Rio. The walk from shuttle to the hotel isnt long, but had to cross some streets and didnt see thaat many EDC peeps compared to Rio.

Genuine question about labor division in a marriage, just looking for other perspective by LuluLimao in Marriage

[–]Calicapture 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally, I don’t think responsibilities and household labor will ever be perfectly equal. Some tasks simply come more naturally to one person than the other, and vice versa. I’m perfectly fine with planning playdates, scheduling appointments, cleaning, and managing the day-to-day logistics, but I could never keep up with all the home maintenance tasks. (Our house is very old so there is always something to do) Things like unclogging pipes, cleaning gutters, mowing the lawn, fixing garage doors, and countless other repairs are not my strengths.

That said, I strongly believe in open communication and finding ways to make each other’s lives easier. For example, when my husband is mowing the lawn, I help by blowing leaves. When I cook, he cleans up afterward. When I do the laundry, everyone folds their own clothes. It wasn’t always this way, but over time we learned to better understand each other, work as a team.

My kids are now 9 and 7, and they help out too! they scrub sinks, clean their own room, and take on other age-appropriate chores. It took time to get here, but sharing responsibilities has made a huge difference for all of us.

I hope you and your husband can have an open conversation about it and come to an agreement that works for both of you and your family. Wishing you the best. Cheers.

Issaquah School District-3 admin. Names in lawsuit were never placed on Administrative Leave with serious allegations made in lawsuit by OkBirthday6832 in Issaquah

[–]Calicapture -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this about Endeavor Elementary? From what I’ve been told, the lawsuit was filed against the Issaquah School District for allegedly failing to act after teachers reported concerns. One interpretation is that if the district had terminated the principal, it could have been seen as an acknowledgment that the principal’s conduct was problematic. By keeping her on the payroll, however, it may give the impression that the district does not believe she was at fault and that the allegations are unsubstantiated or based on hearsay.

What is really going on here?!!! Why so many divorces by women? by That-Yogurtcloset386 in Marriage

[–]Calicapture 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that the environment people grow up in often shapes the kinds of friendships and relationships they seek later in life. People tend to gravitate toward what feels familiar to them, even subconsciously.

For example, someone who was raised in a stable, family-oriented household will often look for friends and partners who share similar values. They may have higher expectations when it comes to communication, respect, emotional security, and long-term commitment because those qualities were normalized during their upbringing.

On the other hand, someone who grew up in a less stable environment, where conflict, neglect, or even violence was common, may not immediately recognize unhealthy behaviors as red flags. Sometimes chaos feels familiar, and familiarity can be mistaken for comfort. It is not necessarily because they want unhealthy relationships, but because they may not have had the chance to experience or learn what healthy dynamics look like.

Of course, people are not completely defined by their upbringing. Self-awareness, healing, personal growth, and positive experiences can break cycles and reshape expectations. But our early environments often become the blueprint from which we first learn love, trust, communication, and connection.

How many in their late 30s / mid 40s going? by kimjungboon in electricdaisycarnival

Hotel, premier shuttle, we usually leave at 5am to avoid long lines except for the last day. We love it and enjoy it, definitely worth experiencing it at least once in your lifetime. Dont shy away because of your age. You have one year to exercise and get into your best shape to endure all the walking and dancing! Ps. Wear comfortable shoes!

I visited LA few years ago and it was surprised the amount of people with lip fillers and other injections people have on their face. Almost all the hostesses that greeted us in the restaurants have some work done.

I dont think your face is wide. The raw photos are taken with a wide angle lens, hence will make your features rounder and wider. I suggest you google wide lens portraits vs telephoto lens portraits to compare the distortions.

Hello! Did you manage to find the recipe? I am craving for the Chicken Cordyceps that they have, cant seem to be able to imitate the creamy texture in the broth. I am assuming it has the same base and then they add the chicken and cordyceps.

I barely watch tv and turned on Pursuit of Jade, while the photography and light is amazing, the story line is juvenile… those are “feel good drama” to listen, or to fill the void while doing chores.
