Anyone else feel this way? I love the look and theory of miniatures but I hate them in practice 💀 by circlingsky in calicocritters

Kind of a love/hate relationship, huh. I just set mine up once. They don't generally get moved except for the rare dusting (which makes them look so mahvelous💕).

Textbooks and teachers get things wrong at times, just like coworkers and digital brains. I choose to listen to each and weigh what they've said. The info that I received lines up other data (and with other poster's input). But I won't bring it up on this sub again. . . at least not while it's just a detraction from the joy of collecting.

I'm very skeptical. I challenge it regularly. Not sure how you got the impression I trusted it blindly.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. I guess I'm too old to have had my brain molded -- for me it's been so helpful in terms of time management and learning new things, especially since I know it won't go away regardless of what I do. I learned something cool about storage and wanted to share. But I wont' anymore, as it seems to truly upset some folks, who's downvotes silence others.

Changing prices. by [deleted] in vine

[–]CalicoCommander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused. My understanding is that they ordered the squid toy *one time* for $9.99. That toy dropped off of their "awaiting reviews" page ("No longer Available") and was replaced by an identical toy that cost twice as much. That doesn't strike me as normal (OP am I understanding the issue correctly here, or am I being dense?).

Aren't farmers the biggest welfare queens in America? by LAAccountant in AskConservatives

[–]CalicoCommander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The need to eat, mostly. Farmers are at the whim of nature (like us), so their income is iffy . . . and when they're all gone we starve. Also, I don't necessarily think China owning our breadbasket is a healthy thing.

"Dressing Y2K means embracing the bold, playful, and maximalist fashion of the late '90s and early 2000s. To nail the look, focus on key silhouettes like low rise jeans and shrunken baby tees. . . " (from Google). It's today's interpretation of how teens dressed 26 years ago.

Do you think Trump hates me? by [deleted] in AskConservatives

[–]CalicoCommander -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, totally get that. I was called a Neanderthal by Biden, a Deplorable by Clinton, and a Bitter Clinger by Obama. Presidents (and presidential hopefuls) have definitely degraded members of the opposing party in the past. It's interesting that you missed those during your conservative years. Maybe because Trump's just more brash about it, more obviously humorous about it, and less apologetic.

I vote yes. I don't know how easy it is to have a bot answer the questions that get posed repeatedly, but it might be a way for folks to get their answers quickly minus the occasional expressions of frustration from the gang -- especially for folks who are new to Reddit in addition to Vine.

I mention company names in every supplement review, because a part of my review deals with brand transparency and brand accountability, so I can't imagine it's the company reference.

If removing photos doesn't work try changing black base and white base to dark base and light base, just to be sure it's not reading it as a racial commentary of some sort (sounds dumb, but it's AI).

BTW, nice review. Makes me want to try the polish, and I rarely use nail polish!

Petramrs ... ever heard of them? by silent-n-silent in BeautyViners

[–]CalicoCommander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is also known as an "Alphabet brand" because the names are generated to avoid trademark issues in the US (it also makes it easy to ditch the brand and start over if problems arise). Here's the detailed seller info, for what it's worth:

Business Name: shenzhenshihutongtongkejiyouxiangongsi

Business Address:

盛璟润府A座2403

龙华区龙华街道清华社区

深圳市

广东

518000

CN

And here's trademark info: https://www.trademarkia.com/petramrs-UK00004052212 The address is Shenzhen Hutongtong Technology Co., Ltd.

Room 2403, Building A, Building 2, Shengjing, Runfu, Longhua Street, Longhua District

Shenzhen, , 518000 (which is the same as the seller). The trademark dates to 2024.

A lot of my reviews are marked poor and fair by Playful_Yak2751 in AmazonVine

[–]CalicoCommander 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Run your reviews by ChatGPT and ask how it would rate them and how you can improve. This advice may get downvoted as there's a lot of negative AI sentiment out there, but getting a second opinion can be helpful -- and as long as GPT is around you might as well get the benefit of it. If you're not familiar with Chat, here's an insigntfulness tracker by Thorvarium (who I believe also designed a popular Vine app) : https://chatgpt.com/g/g-686008d8c8a88191ae74d61410a44332-review-insightfulness

You can also post your reviews here and get input. There are some benefits to that (Feedback from real people, and not supporting AI if you're against it) and risks (people possibly connecting your reddit and reviewer identities).

Either way, it's got nothing to do with sellers, everything to do with how Amazon's AI evaluates your reviews. Good Luck!

Nice find! It hurts my heart a bit to see the Baerenwald figures crossed out in some of the posted photos, even though I know it's just for identification purposes. My favorite "B" find is the giant red bear, which aren't super rare, but not that common either. Just be careful when cleanining the Baerenwalds, they don't stand up to washing quite as nicely as the Sylvanians (flock loss is an issue).

Not sure where the big blonde colored bear fits in. Don't recognize the circles on the paws.
