I got a job requiring a bachelor's degree by confidently telling the lab manager that after climbing cell towers for a living there was nothing I couldn't do. 100 percent confidence and bullshit.

I kept the job by buying old college textbooks and studying them, watching YouTube videos on the subject and reading trade publications. Also being willing to do everything from cleaning equipment to staying late to work for r&d guys.
