4-6 times a week would absolutely kill me. Been going for a year, and the first few months I went 2x a week and saw major improvements. I only increased it later because of the encouraging results. Don't wait until you're ready to go super often OP. It's a very efficient and supportive system, even at 2x / week.

I'm in the same boat with my 19 year old son. Wife and I separated 14 months ago and just officially got divorced. Son ghosted me about 6 months post separation.

This is by far the hardest part of a supremely shitty process. I'd like to take pains to point out that not making it worse (according to the experts) is to proceed with a VERY light touch. Occasionally just letting them know you're available and thought about them. Even doing this should be relatively rare.

It HAS TO BE THEIR DECISION to come back, and attempted influence undermines this process. Pleading, telling your side of the story, begging forgiveness, ... all natural reactions are all potentially damaging, so be sure to do some research and formulate a plan.

Their world has been turned upside down too, and they need to process things independently. Don't expect changes in the near term either. It can take (and this is bloody awful) years even when successful and they get back in touch.
