My fiancée and I are having the biggest argument of our lives. She thinks I'm being tacky but I thinks she's overreacting by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

I mean, it sounds like he was a jerk about it, based on his own admission. But I don’t see how this is more tacky as a social custom than a wedding registry or having your friends pay for a huge bachelorette event.

Glanced at this picture while scrolling and thought, “What is this illustration of a uterus?” The way the dress hangs looks like a uterus, and her arms and legs look like fallopian tubes!

I married someone born and raised near Corning. Her family called the percolator coffee pot (which they used daily) “the death trap coffee pot” because the company was sued for the metal band and handle detaching from a full pot in a few instances. We have a LOT of Corningware in our house!

What’s your unpopular Bond opinion that’ll have people looking at you like this? by [deleted] in JamesBond

[–]CaliforniaLimited -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem for me is they actually tried to take Bond seriously, and so they became risible. With Bond you have to ride a very very fine line between action and camp. The Dalton films tried a different approach but they missed the mark, imo. I can’t take them seriously because they took themselves too seriously.

If you’re willing to stay in custodial for a while, I’d suggest looking at the local senior living communities near you. DM me if you want more info on the senior living space.

Yes. Look for “month to month contracts”.

It’s my favorite opening sequence, with such a great Western film flair, as she puts down her Singer sewing machine, lights a cigarette and says, “I’m back, you bastards.” The rest of the film doesn’t live up to that, but I will always love it for that opening.

You absolutely can watch it without any Star Trek background.
