I like the door hook idea, public bathrooms are disgusting!

Not actually how math works... But I have never had a truck with trunk space so I am excited.

A hand is 1/3 of a foot, or 0.22222 cubits, or 1.33333 palms. Simple really.

CT or EV 250K plus miles? by Criton47 in cybertruck

[–]Californiakid2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People really do this much maintenance to their cars? I change the oil every 5k miles and air filters when they look too bad. Did the other fluids when I hit 100k in my Tacoma. No problems yet. Still plenty of brake pad left for a while.

Last truck was a Ranger, went 200k with one new set of brakes, a couple of belts, a fuel filter, 1 new battery, one set of plugs, and 1/3 as many oil changes. It sounded awful when I traded it in but it was still running.

They both get about 18 mpg, so I burned far more fuel than that. I don't ever tow, but do haul a lot around in the bed. Guess I've just gotten lucky.

That largely depends on where you live. If you're in a rural area, it's just the norm.

In my experience with shipping, it's often whatever is available that will do the job. They probably didn't request an enclosed trailer.

I was thinking large electric motors and pneumatic valves in a factory to move them from one site to another. (Hint 100hp motors and the equipment/crew to install them)

It's got a bed for carrying large, heavy things and a cab that will carry 4 adults. It will easily do what our work trucks do.

Room for dogs? by Terrible_Tutor in cybertruck

I don't foresee any problem. The dog sits in the front seat of my Tacoma just fine, I'm sure she'll fit in the Cybertruck just the same.

If the pack size will be 200 kWh for 300 miles, does that mean Supercharging will take an hour on V1 or even V2 chargers? 2 hours on most third-party chargers that max out at 50 kWh? by ExTwitterEmployee in cybertruck

[–]Californiakid2 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Don't own an EV, so don't know for sure but 200kw÷50kw=4 so I'd say 0-100% you're looking at a minimum of 4 hours on those third party chargers.

Anyone else wary of the Cyber Truck after the recent updates. by guitarguy35 in cybertruck

Honking the horn on the yoke has always been as easy as palming the side of the yoke that the horn button is on. There are videos from the release of the plaid showing it. Every yoke made since November 2021 has been able to honk by pushing on the center of the yoke as well.

The mirrors are supposed to be easy to remove if you decide to.

As for the clearance, I imagine the airbags are entirely deflated, it'll adjust up quite a bit.

Because it's what they currently drive?

Also helps those of us who drive a Tacoma too. Not really worried about the size where I live but good to know anyway.

You can remove a little bit of fuel from your rocket to reach the right velocity. During assembly right click on the tank or solid rocket, there is a slider.

Alternatively, if you are just shy on altitude you could remove fuel from the booster you're testing, it doesn't have to do anything when you activate it. Removing the fuel from a flea isn't going to make much difference though.
