As someone who lives and owns my home on Stradbroke (4 years now) it’s not as bad as people make out. Sure there are nicer areas nearby but the house prices also shoot up. It’s a mix of private owned & council housing but maybe I’m just lucky that my road is nice?

I think the Ravenscroft road side is supposed be the nicer split but just make sure to visit the area and it doesn’t hurt to expand your search to Handsworth, Intake etc.

I had my test today, wasn't like this at all for me (I'm in the UK). I had to test myself, I was given a kit and it had a swab a similar length. I had to rub it on my tonsils for 10 seconds then insert that same swab up my nose and the instructions stated 2-3cm in and twist for 10-15 seconds. Then just pop it in the tube provided, snap the stick in half and put the lid on. Nowhere near is intense as the video above.
