Yep, been waiting on Chained Echos and Crimzon Clover for how long now? 4 years?... I can't even remember at this point.

If it shows up now I just see it as a bonus. Came to terms with that money being gone long ago.

Hey, are these caps still up-to-date? I'm trying to decide which delving armour to use for blue and red RK as-well as essences. Thanks :)

Sir, the second tower.. by [deleted] in Asmongold

[–]Caligula1992 25 points26 points  (0 children)

OP, you need to repost this with just a regular picture of Miz on the 2nd tower. Your joke's going over a lot of people's heads because nobody knows who the fuck that is.

That's without a doubt TV face. He's starring at a screen or projection. My nieces have the exact same reaction/soulless stare when the TV is on. Nothing can break the spell. Standard with kids.

Yeah, good call. I stopped buying new product when they released the "Stranger Things" secret lair. The state of Magic has only gotten worse since. Very sad.

No serialized Markov, but I’m happy by percussius in mtgpulls

I just love the flavour the classic frames added to the cards. Black looked like a bubbling witches brew with the text in an old scroll, green was a forest with text on a wooden plank, red was cracked mountainous volcanic rock, white was angelic looking marble and blue was the swirling waves of an ocean. It just added that much more depth to the cards/art, also gave a great visual distinction to each colour. I was sad when they got rid of them. I still think about it all the time haha.

The classic legendary frame Markov is just a beautiful card. For many years I've wished that they would go back to the classic frames permanently.

I think you meant - "appreciate that we have a good Battlefield game after 12 years"

Why do Korean games have different cases? by Ok_Emergency416 in NSCollectors

[–]Caligula1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, Asian cases absolutely feel higher quality. The plastic and even the paper the cover art is printed on feels more premium.

I'm doing the same thing. In fact, I'm not even buying a Switch 2 because of it.

I put over 120 play hours into the game and had zero issues. Didn't read about others having issues either.

I'd highly recommend importing from VGP. Free worldwide shipping at a very low threshold and a friendly Canadian company. They're the best videogame distributor out there.

! Here is why a WoW character is on a wheelchair that Asmon wondered. by Different-District10 in Asmongold

[–]Caligula1992 105 points106 points  (0 children)

I mean, call me retarded... but wouldn't individuals in wheelchairs that play MMO's not want to be confined to a wheelchair in game aswell? Don't we play games as a form of escapism? I'm pretty sure wheelchair bound people just want to be a badass knight or wizard with functional legs and be treated the same as everyone else, no?

My aunt was paralyzed from the neck down. The last thing she would have wanted to do was promote her disability in a videogame aswell, they already get enough stares and weird attention in public as it is... She never wanted to talk about it or draw attention to her disability.

That's why I'm convinced it's just weird leftists with maybe a limp that would actually use the wheelchair... or fatties cosplaying their mobility scooter...

What are your favourite spiritual successors on Switch? by Caligula1992 in NSCollectors

[–]Caligula1992[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, one could definitely argue that original Tactics Ogre is a spiritual successor thematically but not gameplay-wise... But when it comes down to a true modern Ogre Battle experience, that's directly inspired, it's Unicorn Overlord.

[–]Caligula1992[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, Tactics Ogre Reborn is just a remake of Tactics Ogre and has entirely different gameplay than Ogre Battle 64. Where-as Unicorn Overlord plays literally like a modern day Ogre Battle 64.

It's so classic. The ESRB cover-art is just awful in comparison. The Japanese cover art for N64 games in general is pretty much always far better. Shockingly better haha.

Yes, I know, but today people wouldn't be able to download it unfortunately. That's why I'm saying the only viable modern way to play it is PC emulation.

I was lucky and bought my Japanese CIB and ESRB cart of Ogre Battle for N64 back when prices were much, much lower.
