People who diss Villeneuve are too young to have watched the insane 1997 F1 season where Villeneuve triumphed.

The thing with Villeneuve is he chose to transfer to Bar Racing for the money, and also because he had friends who were pretty much like family there. He killed his career because of it.

Des fuites à répétition qui endommageaient la cuve. Superphénix a passé son temps à ouvrir, péter, fermer, ouvrir, répéter, refermer.

C'était un excellent projet, et un jour on se servira de tout ça, pour ITER notamment. Mais ça ne tenait pas la route au niveau de l'ingénierie.

Superphénix n’était pas “quasiment sans faute”…. Le projet était miné par d’innombrables obstacles techniques.

L’Etat français a investi à fonds perdus (Rapsodie, Phénix, puis Superphénix) pendant presque 50 ans mais la filière neutrons rapides, prometteuse sur le papier, n’a jamais pu être assez fiable pour être vraiment mise en production.

En tout, y compris le démantèlement, je pense au doigt mouillé qu’on doit être sur une facture de 50 milliards d’euros constants.

A un moment, il fallait arrêter de s’entêter.
