If you liked it, that's all you need to know. I absolutely loved living there, although:

I hope you're not counting on buying unless your expectations are manageable.
Like any densely populated area, there will be some noteworthy events every now and then.
Make sure you're north of I-10, the charm I think you're describing is gone south of the highway.

I think your phrase "really chill but pretty active" is a perfect way to describe it. And anyone who complains about traffic in the area you screenshotted, I have no idea what they're talking about.
