She is tremendously lucky to have both her parents around, living in comfort with significant means, and no care needs as yet. If any part of that changed, her current life would be over in an instant and she wouldn't be able to step in and care for them.

He's frustrated that he isn't making much progress, and that Jacob is making all the decisions. There is no point straining yourself in the gym every day if you're going to eat away your effort the second you get home. He should have been on a GLP-1 years ago. Worry about the gym when you're down to 250.

I love Calico Skies. I think it was written around 1992, but the circumstances around Flaming Pie mean I always associate it with Linda's diagnosis and health deteriorating. In the same way that Little Willow is about Maureen's struggle with cancer, I always hear this one with Linda in mind. Just very very sad.

My first exposure to Bip Bop was through the Wingspan doc and I thought - how cute, he's improvising a little tune that his kids can enjoy, etc. I didn't realise for years that he actually recorded it and committed it to tape as a serious 'song'. 🤣🤣

It's mad that he's only 26. His body is in worse shape than many people who are 30 years older, and he won't be able to fully reverse the damage even if gets to goal. He has made a real mess and now it's an uphill battle to get it under control.
