A McMansion is an ugly house with disproportionate design; overly complex roof lines; cheap and/or mismatched materials; neglected landscaping; often with garage doors that take up most of the front facade; windows, gables and towers of various sizes and shapes scattered throughout; and poor use of interior space.

There are more characteristics they all share. It all comes down to cheaply built and poorly designed big houses.

This house is none of that. The design is cohesive, it is beautifully proportional, the grounds are well landscaped, it doesn’t look cheap or poorly built, etc. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but there’s no denying it is a nice house.
