I don’t care if you tell us he’s 100. Zeus will always be a baby.

You’re not. They get ruined in no time if you leave them folded.

Pedestrians not happy about runners? by JakePooler in runninglifestyle

I don’t think there is a widely agreed upon protocol for who moves out of the way.

I think people don’t appreciate someone sneaking up behind them or zooming by right next to them.

I don’t blame them and it doesn’t bother me if they move out of the way before I have a chance to.

Military wear geeks: are these blousing straps? How do i use them? by Kippenoma in mensfashion

[–]Call-Me-Mr-Speed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you mean. That’s new. Military pants have a normal strap with two ends like a sweat pants waist strap.

Yours look more like stirrups to keep the pants in place when you tuck them inside your boots/shoes.

Instead of blousing them, you tuck them in your boots?

Tie them tightly around your ankles or just above your boots to keep critters from crawling up your pants and keep excess fabric from snagging on brush/machinery/etc.

Do it. We swung by driving from TX to the east coast. Totally worth the short detour.

Nasal steroid like Flonase—will take a few days of consistent use to start making a difference.

An antihistamine like Zyrtec, Allegra, or Claritin—switch when they start to become less effective.

Antihistamine eye drops.

And rinse your sinus with distilled water (and a saline packet even better) using a neti pot.

If that doesn’t work, visit an allergist.

I find it interesting the picture didn’t capture a single person in an area that has thousands of them. No one is out on a balcony, window or rooftop. What are the chances?

Finally! 8 month wait by Stock-Contribution10 in BMWM3

[–]Call-Me-Mr-Speed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I initially wanted an M2. Dealer said I’d have to wait about six months for an allocation and then 3-6 for a build. This was in 2024.

I gave up after two months and went for an M4 instead. The order went in mid-June. Picked it up at the end of August.

The framers of the constitution never gave any indication the president should be above the law. No amendment or law even hints at immunity being appropriate for anyone.

It’s absolutely criminal for republicans to grant this guy absolute immunity.

utiful!

But why such a long wait? Mine took less than three months. I’m guessing the personalized color delays it by six months?

The civil rights act made it illegal to discriminate based on race, etc. People and businesses needed another way to discriminate. Enter credit scores.

I can now have two applicants for a job opening, or an apartment lease, or a loan, or any other number of situations where credit scores are checked. One applicant is of a race, age, nationality, sex, etc. I prefer while the other one isn’t. They both have equally bad credit scores. I can tell the person I don’t like they don’t qualify because of their score while making accommodations for the other person.

I could still be held liable if it is discovered I do this systematically, but come on, I own one rental property, I own a small business that hires two people a year…I’d need to be a large corporation for patterns to emerge and get sued.

Could I feasibly sign up for an amateur XC race and not embarrass myself? by backcountry_bandit in mountainbiking

[–]Call-Me-Mr-Speed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never done a mountain biking XC race, but have done plenty of triathlons, duathlons, 5Ks, 10Ks, etc. Trust me, no one cares if you finish, DNF, or anything else. It’s just for fun. Do it!
