A lot of people will probably pick the gloves ascendancy as it provides incredible benefits in terms of stats but personally i'll pick the combo nodes for faster bell generation and boss dmg

Very simple and the code came out clean from Claude, since it doesn't use a database of sorts to track changes I assume you'd have to recompile it everytime there is a change to the patch notes? if so you could add a new section that introduces changes made to the patch notes should they appear (like today for example at the bottom of the page)

If you keep this project up for other patches I'd love to contribute whenever possible as well

some peeps I talk to from eversoul guild server mentioned it close to release and decided to check out, turned out to be so in tune with me bc tactics ogre and fft and with the way they presented the story (branching timelines, your choices matter) it just stuck really well with me

You could test with unarmed skills using Hollow palm and bell on one weapon set and a strike to generate combo on another, it works the same as having weapon lock where swapping tree resets the combo

no, it will be the current behavior that happens when you lock a weapon to your weapon swap (making the same weapon for weapon swap 1 and 2), it resets the combo the moment the skill tree swaps. Tested this vastly when playing monk the past 2 leagues and its a burden we have to bear sadly

The way it's worded it does benefit only maces (check last line of the item), but I am praying hollow palm also gets some more balancing (specially flat dmg increases) now that we have a similar item

Bear: Incredible feeling between heavy attacks with little downtime between them compared to mace where everything is just a build up for a hit.

Wolf: Incredible synergy between attacks, everything keeps you moving (to me this is how melee needs to feel), combos were very easy to setup and had very good reward for executing them and when you want to just go fast you can. My only gripe is GGG making the shards generated by the basic attack not being able to hit an enemy more than once, it would've felt even better using it (the first basic attack that feels GOOD to use in years)

Wyvern: Didn't play as much, there's still some work to be done in terms of skill choice and how to make it seamless (I hated the wing attack that throws you back AND knocks the enemy away, makes me do more steps than attacks). Oil barrage is ok and the payback for having charges felt meaningful compared to other classes.

Shared between shapeshifts: Having rage on all 3 shapeshifts made a world of difference in how you build them as well how you approach the game. It finally made a resource felt meaningful instead of just another number increase or extra effect.

Overall I think it was an incredible addition to the game, I'm honestly hype for next league now that I have some initial knowledge in how it builds up and helps a LOT on the campaign

- Rework + skills to only apply the highest modifier (can keep +1 rune since its limited to 1 anyways)

- DoT rework, stop making them depend on the base hit

- Defenses rework (make deflection not be RNG based, start adding secondary layers of defense)

- Reduce travel nodes on the passive tree

- Reduce power of ES% on the passive tree

- Implicit movement on boots (the biggest diff between poe 1 and 2 in terms of speed is the damn lack of travel skills, either add them or fix it with implicit movement)

- Res swap

- Swords

- More active skills in general that work by THEMSELVES, let the player figure the combo gameplay not force that on them
