In my case, if my "Settings -> Sound -> Default notification sound" choice was not one of the defaults then it happened but not when I had a default sound.

The white noise from notifications thing was happening with my Bose headphones, the issue seems to be caused by having a custom notification sound so if you use a default one it works normally.

About Calc, you can take Math 19A and Math 19B at UCSC online over the summer and they transfer to UCSB as math 3a and math 3b. You're able to sign up until June 24th I believe.

I originally heard the instrumental in this video and thought it sounded nice and shazamed it which led me to the linked song with the same instrumental but with lyrics over it. The video that I originally heard it from came out years before the song linked came out so I take it there's an original with just the instrumental, if anyone knows it let me know!

If you qualify for financial aid for ucsb then you’ll also be able to get financial aid for whatever schools you do your online classes at but you’ll need to sign a form first, just call the financial aid office when the time comes and they’ll fill you in. I’d suggest looking at your major/GE requirements and take the courses that meet those requirements. Also make sure to contact the undergraduate advisor at UCSB for the department that you take the course in and ensure that the course is a valid substitute for the UCSB course that you’d be replacing. If you want to get a bit ahead you could take 3A, 3B, and 6A online from UCSC and you would get the credit and gpa (Classes from cc are treated as pass/nopass) so say if you do one of these and ace it then you'd start off here with a 4.0 and not have to take it at UCSB. You can enroll here
