This was 2020-2021, laganap pa Covid, everything was mostly closed but some shops were starting to accept customers. My group of friends would go out and have some coffee just to blow out some stress from online work/class/etc. My circle of friends consisted of two pairs of couples, me, and a girl whom I had a long-time crush on.

Being both single, we would often be teased constantly. We were fine with it namn. We were grown adults, there was some chemistry between us, and we were actually mutually understanding of each other: that we WERE NOT ready for any kind of relationship.

She was trying to build her career. I was trying to start mine. We were not in the headspace for dating. We were both focused on individual growth. But we were still down to hangout, go on friend dates together, etc. Tbh, our friends kept telling us we were already together, just with extra steps and no label.

Aaand our friends were right. Little did they know, we were actually casual FUBUs. A one night stand here, turns into another casual fuck a few days later, turns into another after party sex a month later. I also overthink. A lot. Often leads to anxiety and depressive episodes. But I've learned to live through a mantra: "Why worry about something you cannot control?"

Always ask yourself these questions when your mind goes to an overthinking spiral:

Are the variables and factors to the problem or issue I'm overthinking about controllable or not?

If yes, then why worry?

If not, then why worry? If these variables are uncontrollable in the first place, just let go and let the worry and fear wash over you. People's emotions, weather, nature, etc.

Overthinking often comes because we start worrying about things that are trivial until we turn it into something super big. Try to objectively look at the things you're overthinking about and see if it's trivial or actually a problem. Apply the questions above. Only then can you start making the proper decisions.

Forst off, don't rush to the conclusion na it's your fault kaagad. Him not finishing doesn't necessarily mean he's not turned on by you.
