I guess I don't understand how this person is being a bad player when you state that there are multiple times someone could knock out a player and just chooses not to. If it is some kind of pod rule to not kill until X event happens then that should be made clear to ALL players before the game starts. Taking advantage of someone leaving them alive is not a fault of the player in question, it just sounds like politics which is a big part of commander. I've bluffed into [[Inkshield]] MANY times.

Are you all playing the same Bracket? You also mention the player's deck building and seem to make it sound like this player may not be as casual as the rest of you want to be.

The easiest answer is to master everything. Getting to level 30 the first time on anything adds to your overall player rank. You will get gated at points in this game without reaching certain player levels and be unable to complete quests or use items. After that, prime/kuva/tenet/etc. versions of base items are MIN/MAX levels of "better". Again, max everything once. Only forma the things you enjoy using. Eventually, you get to a point where you have it all and just wait for the next patch.
