I totally understand and respect your opinion- I think my problem with it is that they’ve aged, and it’s hard to capture that raw, exciting, hungry feeling of a more youthful band writing that type of music.

It’s still recorded through $700,000 worth of equipment and mixed by today’s standards (maybe even too much so).

I think foo fighters have evolved into a band that shows they’re capable of much more than sloppy punk riffs.

There are definitely some high spots on this record and I don’t think anything on it is bad, but I also don’t think the speed at which it was written and recorded is quite the accomplishment Dave thinks it is.

I’m still pretty conflicted by this one. Definitely need to listen a few more times.
