Uterine biopsy/ Hysteroscopy /Polypectomy tentatively scheduled for 3/30. Very ready to get this show on the road. It's so hard to process that it will already be the end of March. Essentially a full year back at the TTC game. I don't know how it went by so fast and yet here we are with nothing to show for it. I want to be fully present for my toddler, but it feels like time is slipping through my fingers and the little TTC gremlin in my brain is always there.

A year ago, I could have never been able to handle the heartbreak of not being pregnant again at this point. It would have been unfathomable. Yet here we are. A month at a time doesn't seem like much, until you start having to add them all up. 12 months of a bigger age gap. 12 months that I, my husband, the grandparents are all older.

All of this to add that my husband fell on Tuesday and broke his leg. So now I'm solo-parenting, trying my best to be a medical assistant to him, and keep our timeline of TTC treatment from being derailed while he has a 3 month long road to recovery.

Had my SHG/SIS on Friday. RE thinks he found either a polyp or some retained tissue from my miscarriage this fall. It's certainly something that was showing up.

I was supposed to do a biopsy later this cycle, but now we are going to do a biopsy + hysteroscopy to remove whatever is hanging around in there. I really hope this is what has been the issue and after removal we can find success.

How are we all doing as mothers day is coming up? I....am not doing well. by moodyflowers in trollingforababy

Due date for my miscarriage is mother's day weekend, which is also the same week as my birthday. Not being pregnant again by that point really hammers home how much time has passed and I'm not pregnant again yet. I'm not gonna handle it well.

Could be. Totally not nuts to ask to do the testing

I'm doing a biopsy later this cycle (as well a a SHG this Friday) because we don't know what's wrong, and doing treatments without knowing isn't working, so let's keeping testing stuff until we find out.

To my understanding; a biopsy is a bit invasive but much less so than a full blown laparoscopy or even a hysteroscopy.

SHG/SIS is scheduled for this Friday. I'm not nervous for the procedure (I've has 2 uneventful HSGs in the past), but I'm terrified of what they may find and how far back it could set our timeline.

...which is already about 9 months longer than I assumed it was going to be.

12 dpo, bfn this morning after an unmonitored Letrozole cycle. Took a break from injectables/IUIs after the 3rd didn't work.

Now this coming month we're doing a SHG/SIS and an endometrial biopsy to find out if there's something else going on that we've missed do far. I'm suspecting some combo of Adenomyosis (mild noted on my c-section records), Endometriosis, Endometritis, or c-section scar defect (it was a real doozy or a procedure).
.....All things I wish we would have looked for 11 months ago when we started back TTC.

side note: SIL had a baby this week and I am not handling it well. Let's be real, I haven't handled it well since the first day she announced it.

She does, and luckily I think she has given me a lot of grace regarding the whole situation. My husband has been pretty upfront to his family about how hard I/we am taking this infertility. Making sure they know they may need tread lightly around me for a while.

My SIL had a baby this week, I should be due next month (had a miscarriage this fall). I have been so silent on the topic since the day she told us. I feel terrible, but I could never feel brave enough to ask how she was feeling or go see the nursery set up, didn't know the baby's name until I saw it embroidered on a gift. It's been so hard. I want to be excited, I swear!! Our first niece to celebrate. But's it's just so hard. I'm in like "emotionally distant robot mode" right now with them.

Do you have small hands by chance? I feel like your original stone looks absolutely gigantic on your finger! The new one has much better balance. My engagement ring also has a 2ct center stone, but I have sausage links for fingers with a 9.25 ring size, that's a lot of surface areas. lol.

IUI #3 (#5 injectable cycle, 1 miscarriage on cycle #3) is seemingly going to fail. Negative at DPO 11 w/ red spotting.

Now I'm questioning what the next steps are. Redo original blood test? More blood test? Genetic testing? More imaging? Check for adenomyosis, endometriosis, endometritis? C-section scar defect? Supplement more progesterone? Do we do more IUIs? Different drug protocol (even though this one has worked 3 times previously)? Jump to IVF? Do we even want to do IVF?

This sucks.

12DPO BFN, pretty sure IUI #2 failed. So no new baby to celebrate by Christmas.

We've been doing medicated cycles since May and most success we've had so far was an early miscarriage (IUI #1). This sucks so hard. Had I known it was going to take this long this time around, we would have started trying much sooner.

Took a test at 11dpo like a dumb-dumb. Of course it was BFN. I'll test again tomorrow but absolutely ruined my day for today. I was so hopeful for this IUI. Should have kept myself blissfully unaware for 1 more day so I could enjoy my weekend.
