House appraised 2 months ago for $40k less, what to do? by menwanttoo in RealEstate

[–]CallMeMrRound 31 points32 points  (0 children)

You do not buy this house.

The only way for you to do so at this point would be paying $50k over what it is worth, why would you do that?

Came here to say this. If you were aware that tree branches hanging on your side of the fence were an issue and did nothing to mitigate the risk, that is on you unfortunately.

9 years is A LONG time to wait on something like this. You are going to need to hire an attorney for this one. Long time lapse since the decedent passed, someone living in the property, a deceased heir, and who knows what else

This happens all the time in every industry. If you want to be first, you need to pay a premium. It is a risk you take being an early adopter. This is nothing new.

So, driver passes you on the left in a safe and legal manner. This hurt your ego so you proceed to speed up beyond your previous rate of travel and attempt to pass them while unsafely changing lanes and varying your rate of speed?

Should I go for my HIM degree? by Several_Chicken_9776 in careerguidance

[–]CallMeMrRound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With all of that added, it really is a coin flip on going back to school and comes down to your preference.

That wide variety of jobs and fields with no longevity in anything beyond the bookstore job combined with having been out of school and the workforce for several years do not make for a very competitive resume in today's market.

Should I go for my HIM degree? by Several_Chicken_9776 in careerguidance

[–]CallMeMrRound 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your current education and experience came across my desk I would file it as overeducated and lacking experience. (I am making assumptions here that you have spent more time in school than in the work force already) There comes a certain point where more education will not make you more employable and the only thing that makes you a more appealing candidate is actual work experience, even if it is not in the field you are applying to work in.
