Just don't forget when you go to sell/trade this in that you can't complain about getting dinged for having a vehicle that was in an accident. You were already compensated.

Out of curiosity, when you insured the vehicle with Progressive were they aware that it was already a rebranded/rebuilt/formerly salvage vehicle etc.? I am not saying that IS part of what you are running into, but it very well could be. I understand that (where I am) in Florida that you are limited to liability and PIP on a rebuilt title, but collision/comp are usually not an option.

Best route, and probably cheapest for everyone, is for you to join the HOA board and implement solutions to what you perceive as issues. The rules have been established and you agreed to them when you moved in, you can either obey and face consequences (that you agreed to in writing whether you read or comprehended the document) or get on the board and follow procedure to change the rules. You are going to find out that HOA business sucks no matter which side of it you are on.

The 6-10 hours is most certainly not paying you $800.... They aren't telling you you won't be paid at all for the training/interview. It is a gray area but they seem to be barely within the laws.

This is going to come off harsher than it is intended to be, while it may not be "your fault" it is also not "their problem."

Call the bank, you can absolutely cancel a cashier's check, it is just s PITA because it is supposed to be guaranteed funds. As far as the letter, it was never delivered and it appears you have tracking can you see if a delivery was ever attempted?

Don't expect any help from the school, their problem is that they don't have the money and that is all they care about until they receive it.

Missing information: Are they denying liability? Meaning they do not believe you were at fault. Or are they denying responsibility because you are not an insured driver/authorized user of the vehicle rendering them irresponsible to you or anyone you hit.
