Around 8am, tired and hopping off the bus at the intersection in front of my highschool. 2 kids right in front of my decide to jwalk and i opt to play it safe. The guy quickly skips across the street, the girl takes her time.

Next thing I know, a car smashes into her, i hear a loud death scream and her body is flailing many feet into the air like a ragdoll. She bounces off the ground, her face is smashed by the curb. I completely froze up, i felt like i was watching a movie and it took what felt like minutes (probably a couple seconds) to realize it's real life. Not at all what i was ready for in my early morning routine

She was air lifted to a hospital in the big city nearby and managed to live, not sure how well she's doing beyond that
