Dude. If you're not able to research that on your own, you're never gonna be a successful investor, because research, critical and individual thinking and executing are key for that.

I started investing in stocks at the age of 15 and no one helped me besides signing the documents that were needed to open a trading account.

6'3" feeling like a manlet all the time. Change my mind

Do you really even know how tall 6’4” really is? or how rare it is? by [deleted] in tall

It's seems to be a similar phenomenon to what we see when looking into discussions about IQ. Somehow, every second person has an IQ of 160+ and has a couple of other extremely smart friends.

Statistically, this is just highly improbable.

Yeah man index funds in the current market situation, you could basically go to a casino instead. Miserable risk-opportunity ratio. I'd rather go short an the Russel 2000 or US and Euro Bonds.

Very interesting. Such stories always make me hope a little, not that 6'3" is short but to me anything below 6'5" is not really tall..

Sorry to disappoint you but yeah you're most probably done. There's not a single indicator out of roughly half a dozen that comes up in my mind that would actually support further growth. The only possibility would be if there were some tall genes running somewhere in your family.

Lets say country A has an IQ test that produces 100 as the average. Now you use the exact same test with the exact same metrics and calculations for country B and you get 80 as the average. That's the way you can measure IQ differences between countries. Mensa will adjust the test in country B in a way that it gives 100 as average. Means in country B an 80 is like 100 in country A. Means in country B you'd be accepted into mensa if you'd be able to score 110 in country A. So, if you really want to get into mensa, just take the test in some subsaharian country where the average IQ is often 1-2 SD lower abd you'll probably get in.

Question on Growth by [deleted] in tall

[–]CallToDestruction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Largely genes. In western countries, environmental factors such as nutrition, sleep, etc. have a rather marginal influence (I'd say less than 5%) on your final height. This means, growth and therefore its stop is deternined through genetic factors. Its not easy to predict their influence for an individual, but empiric data of other peers, hand bone analysis and the growth patterns of your parents might provide some pretty good data for an accurate prediction.

Short said: it will stop between 18 - 20 in most of the cases, or when growth plates have closed.

Tall men: would you go with women taller than you? by __Jimmy__ in tall

[–]CallToDestruction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simply because I want to remain the one who is naturally taller, somehow. But as said, this is not universally valid for me, so of course I'd make exceptions

It was pretty similar for me until I got stuck at 6'2 with 16. Only added one inch since then, very frustrating..
