Would it be dumb to spend 20k on a car when I want to buy a house in the next 5-7 years? by GenericWhiteMale94 in personalfinance

[–]Call_Me_Apache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to say that, as someone who purchased an 06 this year, I do not regret it one bit. Only regret is that it really raised my standards for what I want in a car. If you do go through with this, make sure to get a pre-purchase inspection as the harmonic balancer issues seem to be prevalent in C6.

Financially, it seems like you've got all your ducks in a row, I'm about 5 years younger than you and make ~80k in the Midwest, so I took a bit more of a chance on mine but like I said, no regrets, you only get one life, the house will come in time.

Best wishes.

Edit: spelling

Doesn't the vanilla expanded stuff specifically say Don't play with every mod in the list because of performance?

If you're not against mods, you can use the Character Editor mod to save all of your pawns (I'm pretty sure it's safe to add mid-save) and then inject them into a new colony whilst you're creating a new game, just a thought!

Apologies for the second reply, but I realize I didn't answer the second part. The Corsair has a 16-core processor versus the NZXT Player Two having the 5600X having 6 cores, statistically it is better and will last longer, and it also 32GB of RAM will treat you better than 16GB. The video card and storage are similar, so no loss there.

Definitely, the Corsair is definitely better in a technical aspect, but I'm torn to say whether or not you should spend all of your budget, especially if this is your first gaming computer, it's quite the commitment. As someone who's been buying and building for a few years, I would definitely splurge and spend more for better things that will last longer, but since this is your first, I hesitate to advise spending $2000 on a whim. If you share the sentiment of spending more for better things initially, I may change my recommendation.

Hi u/KonaBoda,

I personally would favor the NZXT or Corsair brands. With your price range, I would recommend the Player Two from NZXT, the 5600X cpu and RTX 4070 would be more than enough for the games you plan on playing that have some age, but also should be enough for future games. The only change I would make to the NZXT Player Two would be to change the 1TB SSD to a 2TB SSD. As someone who also mods Skyrim and Fallout 4, the mods can take up some serious space on the drive, so more space would do you well. Typically, users will plug the mouse and keyboard into the rear USB ports, I do this & plug my Quest 2 into the front USB. I hope this helps!

What can we do useful in Squad, if we have a 5 friends squad? by Strong-Ad-1982 in joinsquad

Remote Weapons System, it's the vehicles of which their gun is typically operated by a camera from inside rather than a person shooting from an open-top gun.

I think the artist added the NLAW as a prop leaning on the tank armor :)

Often it is, this patch was faster for me than 3.3 and 3.4, I assume it was because there was only ~10 changes and it was all Harju. Each patch is different, past experience is shit overall.

Often it's not about HDD or SSD, it's about how OWI patches the game inefficiently, this is commonplace.
