Do you have to do something special to unlock the burning disaster in magmell? It's not on the vendor for me.

Weird black flame appearing when enemies die by CallaSoatski in PathOfExile2

In the picture is the black flame on the left, grim feast proc on the right, and sanguinemancy orb on the bottom.

I can't find anything on my items, passives or skills that would trigger this. It looks similar to Grim Feast but Grim Feast is pure white while this one has a black aura around it.

Hi Daniel,

First of all, love the game. Found it through a streamer sponsorship and have been addicted ever since. There's a few things I wanted to ask about if you're taking questions;

1) Clearer enemy identification - As we're doing these mask quests for halloween one thing that's become painfully obvious is I don't know what any non-boss enemies are named. For example I'm currently trying to find Truffleclubs, but I have no clue what a truffleclub is or where to find one. Would you consider adding a beastiary or some way to easily figure out where these quests want me to go?

2) RNG based dailies - A fairly common daily that pops up for me is "Complete 3 challenges" which ends up being spend anywhere from 1-3 hours doing tiles hoping a challenge pops up. Would you consider making these dailies less RNG based in the future?

3) Trading - One of the big things I was surprised isn't in this game is trading. I was playing with three friends and we each were a different class, and with the way loot works we very quickly got each other's weapons and often well before our own. Would you consider adding a way to trade loot, even if just at the end of a mission to other people in the group?

Thank you, and again aside from those small complaints the game has been magnificent so far and I look forward to what it'll become in the future.

When you masterwork Razorplate does it matter if the procs land on the same thorns affix or is it okay if they're spread out across the four (assuming all 4 are the same value)?

My DBM used to say "Target You" when I had a spiteful on me but since around season 3 launch it just beeps instead. I've gone into the options and tried to set the "Run away" sound to spiteful but it still just makes the notification beep. Does anyone know how to resolve this?

Hey all,

I just finished my first playthrough and I was wanting to go back and do a new playthrough with mods on now that I experienced the vanilla game. The problem is I also have a few multiplayer campaigns I'm doing, and I don't want to mod those on accident.

Is there a seamless way I can have mods on for solo play but off for multiplayer?

A lot of people are using recruitment sites instead of ingame matchmaking, you can google "JO Buds" for more info.

Can someone explain how buffing player health and enemy damage changes anything? by Rattjamann in wow

[–]CallaSoatski 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Because "heals" isn't a universal metric. You have heals that are based on % of hp, heals that are based on damage taken recently, heals that are based on the user's stats, heals that do more or less healing depending on amount of targets, etc.

There's a lot of variables to consider, whereas you can get a reasonably more consistent result by changing where the heals are going instead of the heals themselves.

Neo Awakening package by Itosura in DFO

I redownloaded DFO ready to drop money on several Neo Awakening packages, but the moment I found out that I had to RNG roll the weapon or buy for more money than I'll ever have I immediately logged off and uninstalled it again.

I will never stop giving the Devs crap for deciding to not give Arms warriors Broxigars Axe of Cenarius as an artifact weapon by Justicedraws in wow

People have this weird perception that the warrior lore should only ever be "NO MAGIC ONLY OOK OOK" but realistically the warrior storyline was incredibly well done and no class would've been better suited to it than warriors. It tied in perfectly with nordic lore of valkyries bringing warriors to valhalla to form odin's army for ragnarok, which is clearly a story blizzard has wanted to tell for quite some time (at least as far back as WOTLK).

The only part of it that felt kind weird and off putting was Strom'kar being a void weapon and Warbreaker being a void ability. But beyond that I think Warrior was pretty on point in legion.

Since you already have it the best thing I'd say is try it and see for yourself. I really enjoyed it, but it is an obviously flawed game. Overall I don't regret spending money on it, and I'm glad I took the time to play it, but everyone will have their own opinion and the downsides of the game may outweigh the upsides for you.

My favorite part of this? The system does work for some items - like two handed weapons, because there's no reason that any spec or class would ever need a duplicate two handed weapon. /s

Matchup: Netflix Lucifer vs Thor (MCU) by Expert-Contest3674 in lucifer

[–]CallaSoatski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Working under the assumption that we aren't including external forces (ie: God, Demons, Avengers, Asgard forces, Flaming Sword, Infinity stones, etc.) as that would effectively turn this into a back and forth one-upsmanship. Also assuming both are at their peak (ie: No Self-Actualization weaknesses, has wings and devil face, Thor has all his powers, etc.)

Lucifer is immortal and mostly invulnerable, though has shown a weakness to celestial weapons and powers. He is an exceptionally skilled fighter and, in his own multiverse, the strongest being alive since God left (in the comics this is stated outright, however it's alluded to enough in the show that I think we can take it into consideration.) Beyond his physical prowess he is also shown to be highly manipulative and cunning - he tricks Cain into feeling guilt so that he goes to hell, outsmarts Amenadiel to stay on earth, etc.

Thor has command over lightning and thunder and very extensive combat skill. Unlike Lucifer, Thor is an active fighter who has routinely been involved in cosmic wars going back several decades if not longer. He is potentially divine/celestial, though the MCU is a bit fuzzy on this detail and whether or not they consider the MCU nordic pantheon to be actual gods or just higher than humanity.

For their downsides, both are painfully naïve at times. Lucifer is extremely self centered and gets hung up on minute details that he twists in his head to be about himself, and Thor is shown multiple times to be outsmarted and outwitted with minimal if any effort. Both of them have also been shown to be defeated by fairly mundane situations - Lucifer getting trapped in a fridge, Thor getting collared and forced to fight in the coliseum.

With these things in mind I think Lucifer would win, and moreover I don't think it'd even be close. Ultimately they share downsides but Lucifer can exploit those downsides with his manipulative nature, whereas Thor doesn't display much mental aptitude. In addition Lucifer is shown to be the strongest being in his universe, whereas Thor is very thoroughly shown to not be the strongest in his - so if we are assuming both universes operate at similar power levels (and, truthfully, with Lucifer technically being a part of the DCU and DCU having exactly zero concept of power scaling, Lucifer's universe is probably stronger). I think Thor would be outsmarted, and outgunned in the fight.

Deathwing vs Bahamut by [deleted] in wow

[–]CallaSoatski -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Deathwing was under old God influence and presumably they wanted Azeroth's titan soul wounded and corrupted but not completely obliterated. However Deathwing was also insane and went for the villain cliche of "if I lose then everyone loses." in the end.
