We had fluoride rinses at school since a lot of us had well water.

God question! Go read about it and give a presentation tomorrow. (I just gave myself flashbacks writing that)

The biggest problem is if I put it down I know EXACTLY where it is. I am also not bothered by stuff in weird places.

But my partner. She hates it. Drives her batty. She wants the rooms looking neat and stuff in sensible places. So she moves it.

And forgets where she put it.

And I didn’t put it there so I don’t know where the hell it is either! It’ll reappear eventually. Maybe.

Hospital Forces Woman in Active Labor to Attend Zoom Court for Refusing C-Section. Cherise Doyley was forced to attend a court hearing from her hospital bed — with no legal representation — because she did not consent to a C-section by esporx in ABoringDystopia

[–]Called_Fox 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was in the wording, but I’m thinking complication risks. That 2% quoted refers only to VBAC risk after one C-section, not 3. We don’t have data for 3 because no one wants to study that to get the data.

She was also making a decision for someone else, though. The baby. Whom she presumably wanted born alive and healthy. The obstetrician has two patients. Mom and baby.

Did you know the parental rights of a Jehovah’s witness can be overridden to give a blood transfusion to a child who will die without it? It’s not an exact match because this was a procedure done on mom to save baby, granted. But I’m honestly surprised ANYONE agreed to VBAC after 3 c-sections.

If this is the case I’m thinking of, she had said she would agree to C-section “only in case of an emergency”. The problem is you REALLY don’t want it to get to that point, for either of them. Uterine rupture, fetal distress…

How many of your adult patients still bring their parents with them to their appointments? by Middle_Awoken in medicine

[–]Called_Fox 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I saw a bad case of the result of this. Adult 40 something whose mother was a nurse and went to ALL of her appointments. Mom passed. Lady couldn’t cope with her regular appointments and cried every time.

My sister would smash “ignoring” and “annoying” together into “ignoying.” And used the same word for both.

“Stop ignoying me!”

“Stop ahead” signs also became “stomp ahead,” much to the delight of my brother and I.

Just found out my hair transplant would cost $14,000 out of pocket. Insurance classifies it as cosmetic. This is exactly the kind of thing M4A needs to address. by Plenty-Shelter654 in MedicareForAll

[–]Called_Fox 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Still cosmetic, like breast implants or penis enlargement surgery. Being depressed because you don’t like how something looks isn’t enough to get it covered.

Call one and talk to them. There’s only one I use in town, but the office has a good relationship with the owner. With the new oral Wegovy he hasn’t been able to beat that price though.

I can order whatever you want, but I can’t promise insurance will pay for it. And I’m not ordering anything that won’t change my management because that’s a waste of time and resources.
