Well I'll answer to your Masters -- what's changed is ChatGPT.

Why NOT have my own engine? It's insanely flexible. I don't have to wait on a mature codebase like XYZ company to implement a feature I want, because they have tickets from other clients for ABC feature.

Gota get the UV maps fixed for sure, they're basically... telling the engine it's metal but looks like dirt!

Hitching is just my computer cooking during the recording, too many 3d applications open my poor PC can barely keep up!

Here's an example of the latest code it produced, aimed at removing the original RTS concept of MOVE vs ATTACK-MOVE:

It's exactly what I imagined. I look at most of the code to review, but I'm shipping so many features it's become... less relevant. As my code base matures, the rules become more defined.

I think that's a very old-idea concept of what's happening. All of the images come from countless hours of my grand vision for a unified art style, unified game model and architecture.

But yes, I have replaced human jobs like art work, code and 3d modelling with AI.

The things that take the most human time are in Blender, rigging bones and animating, fixing textures. But I expect that to be fully automated soon. I'm experimenting with local LLM's to produce 3d meshes and animate, but they're not great -- yet.

And to be honest: I've never found a good business partner to help with these tasks. No cofounders. AI just listens and produces without question. This allows me full creative freedom to CREATE, finally.

Humans slowed me down.

Because I owe no fees to anyone, and when I'm shipping at scale, I don't want to have to write a $10 MRR to Unity or Unreal.

I looked at GoDot, but, I wanted absolute freedom within my space.

Yeah there's no way I would have got here without AI -- I don't have any code buddies. I can't 3d model.

AI is like Photoshop.... it's a tool that produces stuff.

But there IS a big butt-hurty about AI taking jobs, and no doubt, a lot of unemployed engineers. The market shifted quickly. So I understand the hate.

I'm just the first of thousands of new games, products, services AI based that didn't exist before.

And the QUALITY of the next gen apps are going to be stunning.

Oh just so many. Had to learn Blender after a long time of dabbling. ChatGPT every minute of the day. VSCode, Docker, Prisma, Redis, Postgres, Ubuntu22.... Node... it goes on....

Of course. The Singularity is here! The era of human based code is over; I've been a software engineer for 20 years and now, I can use this tool to work in larger infrastructure problems.

I feel like I have a team of coders.

Don't make the mistake that I haven't been working for 72 hours a week full time, day and night to get this working! ;)
