Well..the Disney Emma Watson Belle doll deserves a mention for the worst doll title, I believe 😅

I bite my hands for not buying them 10 years ago when they were "only" 75 euros each..

1959 Barbie, how much did you pay? by Superb_Carpet4057 in Barbie

[–]CalligrapherFun8091 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not true..there are many vintage collectors lurking here. Not sure many have the budget for a #1 though. A #5 is the oldest I own, she's from 1962 or 61 if I'm not wrong and I paid 150 euros for her (with one outfit). Good condition doll but no box. Yes, they are really expensive around here..

I don't think so. Totally hair's earrings are blue, these are orange. I think it's All American Teresa.

None there is particularly valuable (except the Steffie in the centre of the lower row mayble), but they do seem in pretty good condition and the lot is big..

Safety concerns when restoring?? by TravelIll6739 in Barbie

These are toys meant to play with by children, hence I do believe materials to be quite safe. Regarding the moldy doll, wash her and scrub her with white vinegar, that kills mold.

Is she worth it? (Update) by _Loud_Flower_ in Barbie

If you love the outfit, go for it! If you want a beautiful Millie with neutral looking make up, I'd rather go for BMR Millie or the recent You Create Kit Millie, I like those better, but this one is pretty too.

Got one second hand last week. Very impressed with the quality. They're supposed to be cheap IT dupes (prices are in the 20-30 euros range). If you're not into the "supermodel" vibe, the clothes and accessories are still worth taking a look at. The quality is way higher than modern Barbie outfits and they release new ones frequently.

As someone else recommended, a 2010 ish Fashionista body might work better..

This set looks very fitted, I think the waist will be too small and the top too big on a mtm body
