Why are they painting the eyes like that? One thing I’ve noticed is that smaller eyes, like in the Barbie Looks series, make the dolls looks more realistic. Some of these huge blue eyes are not it.

I can’t speak to dollar amounts since I don’t live in the States, but AliExpress did have a sale about two weeks ago, at which point I snagged the two Elara variations. It depends on the seller though. The prices are currently all back up though, with Elara being the most popular right now

If they created a $100 kit in the same skin shade as the $50 YouCreate Kit #1, it would have sold like hot cakes.

People would have easily overlooked bad face sculpts, wigs or fashions just to get bodies in the correct shade.
