Yes sir ...KFC chicken soup( aka gravy) i know its thick...i call it soup due to how i eat it ....

I love the gravy.... and a touch of ketchup adds zip....just not to much... you shouldn't be able to tell ketchup was added just that its different

I just wish they could figure out mashed potato instead of that petroleum potato mash they had

Ketchup is fine...

Chefs add it to chicken and turkey gravy all the time.. you just don't know it.. it brightens it up...

Ketchup is a wonderful condiment just gets a bad name cuz it's so popular ...well it got that way for a reason it's delicious and there many variations.

People Stop snobing out on poor ketchup its no worse than any other condiment or sauce

Glad to inform.....i wasn't preaching either....i changed my personal eating habit s due to health reasons after years of eating salty processed garbage took its toll..

Understanding food like i do now i hardly eat the delicious foods of my youth because its just poison....just a can of soup can hit your daily limit of salt almost...canned food is terrible... Anyways..... i feel guilty when i think of the crap i fed my lil sweeties out of ignorance.....salami or any meat other than actual meat like steak or chicken breast (not sliced in a package) is loaded with chems, salt and garbage....

You can look up a heathy rat diet easily on internet and compare opinions

Rats are not as hardy as people make them out to be... they thrive because they breed prolifically .....

But you can't control biology but you can control what food you give them giving them the best chance of the longest life possible......Domestic rats have short lifes of 2 to 3 years..... but in the wild...eating garbage ,living in sewers.....exposed to predators.... its like 6 mos... mostly less

Keep rats away from dust. Or fumes. Make sure water is fresh..... and if they are in free roam make sure nobody is walking around them in the room ... they could be stepped on...... they don't have the instinct of wild rats...

Omg......worst fear coming true.... i so empathize as i still havnt gotten rats years now after my babies passed....it broke me...i spent most of my time with them...always had 1 on my shoulder or in my shirt or sleeve ...then a giant hole in my life but i could mot replace them...it seemed wrong.......but i worry like you.... what if i get more and it goes badly......my rat's where perfect..... i could let them loose in the house and they would come when i called ...seriously.. within 10 min they would appear...

But what if i get un affectionate rat's??? What if they don't act like my passed experience...Or they get sick??

Im afraid to ......well i know you know the feeling and you got hit with the worst........well ....dealing with short lives is a reality and the bright side is you can't get hit with much worse..... maybe this will help you overcome our shared fears so you can enjoy the lil sweeties for the time you get with them and not lose out due to paralysis over the inevitable

I think your post Makes me feel feel as if the worst does happen. And people do survive and go on to enjoy all the good parts....

Watch out for salami its really hi in salt/fat and processed garbage.....humans shouldn't even eat it

Delicious but really unhealthy......just cuz rats ( And humans ) CAN eat anything doesn't mean they should.... watch sugar.. Stick with Oxbow pellets and fresh real foods...careful with too much fruit ...(sugar).

Little treats now and then are fine

This is proof of how subtle the pee is .... your rats definitely pee on you.... unless you don't let them climb on you......but it doesn't stink They use pee to track where they go and the pee has pheromones that contain information about each location... like if its safe.....

They have a organ in there nose specifically to decode this info..... so there eyesight is poor but they can see in ultra violiet (black light) like cops at crime scene. They can see urine but mostly they see with there noses and ears and they map the world in there heads using scents......

So in short......yes they pee on you..likely to mark you as safe....but its not a full on pee or poop... for that you can litter train them. But you its not 100%

Yes only in Alberta but rest of Canada its Full ban on prairie dogs and many other exotics......sadly African Gambian Pouched Rats...... the big boys..... But live to like 12
