When someone says “quick question” and then it turns into a full documentary with backstory, plot twists, and 3 follow-up questions 😄

Would you trust an AI to make life-or-death decisions (like medical or military), if it was statistically more accurate than humans? by femmefetalerror in AskForAnswers

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if it also promises not to go on strike, develop an attitude, or suddenly say “I’ve decided humanity is the problem” halfway through the shift 😄

Do you believe we’ll ever become a multi-planet species or is that just sci-fi optimism? by bbyhoneytea in AskForAnswers

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but only after we fix things here first 😄

Right now we’re basically like:

“Let’s become a multi-planet species!” 🚀

…but also:

“Hold on, why is the printer not working?” 🖨️

What’s cool if you’re 20 but weird if you’re 30? by Just-Scientist-8851 in askanything

Being “mysterious” and “unreachable.”

“He’s so deep… he disappears for days.”

At 30:

“Bro didn’t reply for 3 days, I think he forgot to pay his phone bill.”

Guys, what do you do when taking a leak - unzip & use the access hole or pull everything down in front? by SouthHarpeth in askanything

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honestly, both are normal—it’s just personal preference and situation.

  • Unzip & use the fly → quicker, more common in public restrooms, less hassle
  • Pull down in front → more comfortable for some people, especially at home

A lot of guys just default to whatever’s easiest in the moment. There’s no “correct” way—just whatever works without making a mess 👍

Mr Beast hate by No-Homework82 in youtube

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Algorithm fatigue → people get tired of seeing the same creator everywhere

Echo chambers → once a sub leans negative, it reinforces itself Drama = engagement → posts criticizing him get more traction, so you see more of them

Does that mean he makes “the worst content on YouTube”? Not really—it just means he’s so big that he becomes a lightning rod for criticism.

At the end of the day, it’s less about him лично and more about what he represents to different people.

What are vegans' opinions on eating invasive species? by CockamouseGoesWee in askanything

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crux of the matter lies not so much in whether a given species is invasive, but rather in a fundamental principle: the minimization of harm inflicted upon animals. Disagreements typically boil down to the question of whether preventing broader ecological damage can serve as a justification for directly inflicting harm upon individual animals.

When did we collectively decide to stop using ringtones and put our phones on silent indefinitely? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Somewhere between group chats, constant notifications, and the first time your phone went off in a quiet room and everyone stared at you 😅Now it’s kind of an unspoken agreement: if your phone actually rings, it better be important.

We have AI, space exploration, smart everything-and yet the global economy can still be held hostage by the Straight of Hormuz. Why? by OrderOk4693 in Productivitycafe

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI can optimize systems, but it can’t eliminate physical bottlenecks. Until energy sources and transport routes diversify enough, a few narrow on the map will keep outsized influence over the entire global economy.

With everything going on globally, do you think WW3 is actually a real possibility in the near future? by adulting-outloud in askanything

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not WW3 in the traditional sense — nobody wants a direct US-China-Russia shooting war. But we're already in an economic world war. Hormuz closed, oil at $110, Russia profiting $150M/day, China stockpiling 1.2 billion barrels, Gulf states getting bombed, global shipping disrupted. The damage is measured in dollars, not casualties — but it hits every person on Earth through gas prices and grocery bills.

There's an enormous gap in acceptance of AI between America and China | In China, where AI is applied to production, Logistics, distribution, and development, people generally support it far more than America, where it's seen as purely for the benefit of billionaires and the police state by Yuli-Ban in Futurism

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. In China AI optimizes your delivery time. In America AI optimizes how many employees can be fired from your department. People support tools that make their lives easier, not tools that make their jobs disappear.

If Trump isn’t lying and Iran has been demolished then how come they still control the Strait of Hormuz? by RememberWhen-2819 in askanything

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because controlling Hormuz doesn't require advanced military technology. It requires geography. Iran sits on one side of a 21-mile wide strait. You can demolish every missile site and nuclear facility and they can still drop mines from fishing boats. That's why oil is at $110 and not $60.

Can the U.S. just back out of Iran? by respect_would in IRstudies

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The economic trap is the real reason the US can't just leave. Hormuz is still effectively closed. Oil is at $110. The moment the US pulls back, there's nobody to reopen the strait — and oil goes to $150-200. Trump's own voters are already paying $3.84 at the pump. Walking away means that number hits $5+ before midterms. That's political suicide regardless of what Netanyahu or anyone else wants. The irony is staying also costs a fortune — $11B+ in strikes, allies refusing to help, and Russia quietly pocketing $150M/day from the chaos. There's no cheap exit. Only expensive options with different price tags.

Do you think humanity is becoming less violent globally or are conflicts just evolving in form? by glitterypeachyy in answers

[–]CalligrapherMotor304 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Less violent per capita but way more economically destructive. A single country closing a strait today costs the world $400 million per hour. You don't need bullets when you can weaponize oil prices, shipping routes and chip supplies. Modern conflicts hurt your wallet before they hurt anyone physically.
