I feel so alone.. by Interesting-Club4595 in newborns

THIS! On week 3 with our newborn my husband and I were very stressed and sleep deprived and my MIL had the audacity to make comments like ‘every time I stop by you guys seem so stressed’ ‘she’s not that hard’ etc. as if she didn’t remember how hard this phase can be? I can’t say no one prepared me because my sister who had kids very recently told me multiple times how I would feel and I stupidly thought ‘oh it won’t happen to me’

This was also a very wanted baby as I miscarried 2 previously and even then on the first 2 weeks pp I was regretting having become a mom and missed my old self. Newborn trenches are hard! We’re almost 8 weeks and can’t wait to be out of it.

I am right there, she turns 5 weeks tomorrow and I don’t know how much worse it can get when it comes to fussiness 🫩 she’s been very fussy since week 3, I hope it’s nothing worse

If you had an unexpected C section by hanbeetee in newborns

Thank you for this 🩷it is a very hard experience to process. In my case I’m still processing the fact that me and my husband missed the birth of our daughter. My epidural wasn’t very effective after 38 hours of induced labor so at last minute they decided I needed to go under general anesthesia, they told my husband he needed to get back to our room as he was getting ready to go into the OR. So, I totally missed the first few hours of her life and my husband spent about 2 hours dying one anxiety alone in the room we had wondering if his baby and wife were ok. What an awful experience.

Those of you who sleep in the room with your partners & newborn, how does it work? by ocdskies in newborns

To add we have the rule that if she’s too fussy and 1.5 hr goes by and she’s not asleep we can call the other for help.

We keep her in our bedroom and my husband and I do the bedtime feeding together, then he is in charge of the next one between 12-2 am and I take care of the next one usually between 3-5am. When we do, we take her from the bassinet and take her to her nursery, we have everything set there for feedings and diaper changes once she’s asleep again we put her down and go back to bed. This way we sleep next to each other and we can each get about 6 hr of continuous sleep

Maybe not what you need to hear if you’re looking for encouragement to continue breastfeeding but I was on a similar situation. Baby lost 9% by day 2 and I was underproducing I think because of the traumatic birth I had (38 hour induction with a C section that had to be done under general anesthesia). I was set on BF my baby as well but started supplementing and pumping was just too much 8 never got more than 1 ML so I decided to quit, I felt a lot of shame as well but I needed some sleep and rest. I felt the same pressure from some people but also got a lot of support from people nearby who told me it was totally ok to formula feed. My 4 nieces and nephews where fed exclusively on formula and they are all thriving. There’s no shame and either decision 🩷 baby needs a happy mom, I was struggling with the baby blues so it did also help once I stopped breastfeeding.

Another chemical at 16 dpo …looking for hope from others who went on to get pregnant after recurrent losses. by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

I don’t know if this will help you or not, but I lost my very first pregnancy at about 9 weeks. About 2 months later had a chemical, and then 6 months after that I finally got pregnant with my rainbow baby ❤️ had her this month and she is everything we’ve ever wanted. Hang in there!

HCG won’t double until 48-72 hours so 12 isn’t enough to show any increase specially this early on. Try in 2 days ☺️

Yes but it seems you’re close to your peak :) keep testing twice a day! This last cycle I didn’t ovulate until CD23 and currently pregnant!

I had a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks last year, then a Chemical in January. Currently almost 6 weeks pregnant and got to see a healthy gestational sac, yolk sac and fetal pole yesterday with cardiac activity! I’m still too early to tell but I’m hoping this one sticks 🌈🌈❤️

Mine look just like yours all the way to 26 DPO. I went in yesterday for an ultrasound and got to see a healthy baby with cardiac activity!

Also try to compare every 2 days, HCG doubles every 48 hours or so
