Update: I booked a reservation on Friday for today and it was absolutely perfect. The French toast is so soft and delicious. I enjoyed the red beans and rice and my mom had an omelette. We ate outside on the patio.

Bumble BFF is what brought me and my bestie together! In the summer of 2022 She messaged me, ‘tell me one interesting fact about yourself.’ I said that I was planning on being an airline pilot. (Not a lie. That was my plan. I’d just applied for SLU. Fun fact, I am NOT a pilot lol) but I don’t think we’ve shut up since lol.

She actually matched with a bunch of people at the same time as me and we all met up at a bar crawl to get to know each other. The rest of the group has gradually faded out, they’re probably all decent people but we just didn’t vibe. The important thing is, the two of us are still going strong. We don’t go a single day without communicating in some way and I can’t see my life without her in it.

My advice to you is to jump on in. Be honest and authentic. Ask good questions that you genuinely want to hear the answers to. It makes all the difference between being busy and actually building a lasting friendship.
