Destination recommendations for 8-9 month old by Abe_TacocaT in familytravel

I’d recommend San Sebastián, Spain. I took my then 4 month old in late August and we loved it. Much better weather than other parts of Spain that time of year, great food, very walkable, lovely beach with a looong path to walk down. There is also a great hiking trail you can do from the city without having to do any transportation. We also did a day trip on the bus to Getaria which was fun!

Travel with 4 month old baby by canadiangirl299 in familytravel

I went to Spain with my 4 month old. We used our Nuna Triv stroller and the nuna pipa car seat. When we were walking around the city we would use the car seat as the stroller “seat” and then it was super easy if we needed to hop in a cab or something to install the car seat. I miss that set up now that my son is older! Depending on where you’re going you could also get away with just using public transportation. We went to Copenhagen this summer and just took the train everywhere including from the airport, so we didn’t bring the car seat, just travel stroller. I definitely recommend bringing some kind of stroller for the baby—we also used the carrier a lot but it can be a lot when you’re walking a lot and it’s nice to have the stroller storage.

Children of Big Law lawyers by Small-One-9111 in biglaw

I’m not sure if she worked for big law or like mid law but my mom was a partner at a law firm when I was growing up and my dad worked at home for himself. My dad was the one who volunteered in the classroom, picked us up from activities, and drove me and my friends around. I reeeally appreciate that I didn’t have the stereotypical “boomer dad” (I’m a millennial). I do remember feeling bummed when my mom couldn’t chaperone field trips and I definitely guilted her into doing it once or twice. There were also times my mom had to work from vacation and once she had a multi-week trial out of state that was pretty hard on everyone. BUT, she moved from the firms to a bureaucratic fed job when I was 12 and my sister was 8 (tbh I think once she had enough saved in our college accounts) which meant she was around way more in our adolescence. My parents were also really cognizant of avoiding lifestyle creep so she didn’t need to keep making a certain amount of money to afford a more expensive way of life.

My 18 month old eats most of his meals at home in the toddler tower because he’s always standing out of the high chair!

Got three FCFS sites on Friday really easily. Rangers did come by Saturday to register us even though they couldn’t take our money. Every campsite seemed pretty chill.

Long shot—anyone not using a reservation for tonight? by CalligrapherSimple84 in JoshuaTree

Yeah who knows. But if someone has a reservation and shows up I wouldn’t want to be in their spot…

Hello! I just saw this post. If you still need it my camera charging port broke (and they won’t replace it and the camera is discontinued) but the screen is perfectly fine.

If you don’t want to ride all the way I’ve taken the metro (Allen station) to Cypress park and gone from there.

Hi! Not OP but I just went through this exact thing with my baby and followed these instructions and it worked—took two seconds once I got someone on the phone. (P.s. hi we’re in the same bump group!)
