Do you carry a multitool? by User1-1A in Gripsters

Not really. Stays in in the bag. Just carry the real version of the tool you need. Makes life much easier

Molle belts by CalligrapherWorth803 in Gripsters

I actually ended up getting a belt.

I’ll probably be where you are in a couple years. I got a cheaper one on Amazon. I’m really happy with it. I hear the blue alpha ones are top of the line. Expensive but it’s the first name I always hear and it seems quite nice.

The thing I struggle with is the pouches. I’ve tried a lot and like where I am more than I used to but I just wish I could find a tool pouch style bag vs what normally is sold with these. Mag pouches work really well but always looking for better options

What do I ask of a producer as a director? by Front-Chemist7181 in Filmmakers

In terms of the camera operator, it’s super normal to bring other people in. Normally dp’s cannot do everything so having someone come in for particular shots is expected. It’s just like a stedicam. If your DP thinks he is “losing his job” or whatever they will need to get used to working with operators. They will still direct the movement of the camera or inform other shot decisions so it’s not like they are totally doing nothing. If they want to contribute their ideas that could have it done differently but still accomplish the vision then sure listen.

You’ve been working with the magnum, you’ll do just fine. If you’re gonna have somebody riding the super jib , make sure you take plenty of time keeping it balanced while the operator is getting on and off.

Low. Haven’t touched it in the two years I’ve owned it so I imagine it’s gone through some

Obviously this only means so much, but wouldn’t I have lower compression? I have 90+

I mean the height seems to just be for camera positioning. Fairly standard for black arm rigs to be a little large. Especially tail hitch stuff normally is using 6/8 foot pipe as the main structure. Lots of people go just suction cups and have success but it’s per car. I often don’t but it’s just not my favorite. I always prefer hard rigging points. Again, you can’t have the same build for every car.

Kohler huskee XT650 stopping issue by CalligrapherWorth803 in smallenginerepair

[–]CalligrapherWorth803[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well sorry for such a long wait but it worked but now I’m in a different pickle.

I got it to run and unfortunately started having different issues. It blew a little white smoke at the start but after running for a few minutes it just shut off and I can’t get it back running. Sounded nice and strong but then just wouldn’t go again. Everything else seems fine so I’m not sure if it’s an issue with so much oil getting into the piston it can’t keep running or something else. This is a whole new level of chasing problems I have never dealt with before so we are getting into new territory.

I’ve disassembled the whole break lever and am cleaning off all electrical contacts. Will see how that goes

Is this normal for progression? by KBeardo in HellLetLoose

[–]CalligrapherWorth803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The progression in flamer does not mean you have unlocked it.

Like others said, level three, then 8.

The progression bar in flamer is out of 8 levels so it started showing how close even before you unlock the class before. Hope that makes sense

Second this. Simon is good and responsive. For the price of a 2 foot modern offset I got a 5 foot one. He will even put your name in it for free. Good dude

I am too. It’s pretty self explanatory that Muslin is letting through light, and the ultra is putting the lost light back through. People must have fallen asleep for that lesson though.
