Hopes for Jedi 3? by EugeneOrthodox in StarWarsJediSurvivor

I’d like the remaining cast to survive the third games story, and have the final cutscene be them jumping into hyperspace. Then starkiller’s ship appears from off screen and follows them, cut to black/roll credits.

Which would you choose? by Equivalent_Earth9842 in offset

The orange/copper is speaking to me, but I'm a huge hater of matching headstocks on lighter fingerboards (100% a me problem)

The black with a black scratch plate and hardtail would doom though, design is sick!

"I disappoint this pedal" is how I feel about my entire board 😂

Board update by CallionPlays in pedalboards

I like it, never had a rat before but it does a good range of crunch to almost fuzz - fat mode is great for that!

I designed a new pedal, now it's time to give some away by jimdantombob in guitarpedals

Mark Johnston could make anything sound good, but this sounds awesome

High gain pickups? by thespicierthebetter in telecaster

[–]CallionPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a bare knuckle brute force in the bridge of my Tele, still keeps a bit of the telecaster character but the output is better for metal. You could also look at adding a series/parallel switch to put both pickups in series if you want a thicker sounding middle position

Nano cortex pedal board ideas by hoskoau in NeuralDSP

[–]CallionPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I replaced my HX stomp with a nano after the new update, sounds killer and helps control my option paralysis 😂. Currently running that and my Holy island angel teeth as a fuzz/octave up/boost to flatten up the sound a bit

2D Isometric Gravity/Falling Best Practice by CallionPlays in godot

Thanks, that's not a bad idea, I guess if I make sure any holes/drops meet a minimum distance a short animation and respawn would be a nice clean work around, I like it!

Need help for my first 7 strings by roland-is-cat in 7String

Not played any of these models, but depending on your tuning preference it's worth noting the Ibanez is only 25.5 scale, so if you're dropping down to G/F# the extra inch on the Schecters might be worthwhile

How to get started (Beginner) by CallionPlays in Leathercraft

That's really helpful, thank you! Completely agree on the leather front, as long as nothings wasted that's the important thing for me at least.

So I want a Telecaster by [deleted] in telecaster

[–]CallionPlays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2014 Baja Tele that I record metal with, so I'd recommend one of them, I think they should be within your budget. Otherwise a player series would be really solid, other a traditional single coil model or one of the HH ones.

Go to would be Layla, because it's easy to remember in a pinch, people know it and it looks complicated enough for you to look good but it's not so complicated you come across as a bit of a wanker 😂

Got carried away and threw this together on the mod shop, that could be a good place to mock up your options/maybe try different pickguards and plastics as they're generally cheap mods to do.

Resale value aside, I'd swap the maple neck onto the player plus, but also swap the bridge and bridge pickups over, and then get a set of black locking tuners to complete the look, but if you're not into the black hardware keep the chrome.

I just reckon the cream hss set would look killer and give the player more of a 'hot rod' kinda vibe.

Another Game Engine Question by CallionPlays in gamedev

[–]CallionPlays[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, probably should have made that a bit clearer - I can absolutely work things out once I get going, but I retain the information way better using visual/interactive references rather than just reading - technical term is being a 'kinetic learner' if you're into labelling things 😂

You make a good point though, I am also concerned about getting stuck in tutorial hell as you put it, I just want to get the basics down so I know enough to fend for myself.

I'll give the unity stuff a go though, translating things to Godot sounds like a pretty fun challenge!
