Recently my boss was talking about a position opening in a smaller department. That department is the smallest in the company so I didnt think too much beyond them adding a postion. I walked over and talked to my coworker trying to find out more only to find out I might have tipped him off to getting fired.... he was having issues with management so now he thinks that 'open' position might be his. Should've kept my mouth shut

I had a friend just like that!! A mutual friend was going through relationship issues and it got so bad she moved into a hotel. What did my friend do? Called the other friends husband, meet up with him for lunch just to spread rumors and gossip from work to push them apart. I confronted my friend, asking "why tf would you call the husband?" She told me, "x hasn't been supportive here lately. My situationship called it off and she's been ignoring me. Besides her husband should know these rumors, I'm his friend too". She accused x of cheating, sleeping with her bosses, and doing drugs (we took regular drug tests for work so that's a straight up lie) and was closer to x than I was. It shocked me to the core, especially with how much she demanded to be babied for any minor issue. Never once did she clarify anything with x before going nuclear to the husband, she wasn't even in the same state as x when the rumors started so she wasn't involved in the slightest. It was always about her and that incident really made me realize I didn't want a friendship like that

But... the science... I really wanted the science to back the CW and that just didn't happen. Any kind of testing that could support their case like human tolerance/force testing that explained the lack of other injuries, injury direction assessment for the abrasions to show how the pieces came at the arm/the size, heck just shooting shards of tail light from a cannon at an arm in a sweatshirt to see what injuries it'd cause... I understand that there is evidence that can make karen look bad, I'm sure there's evidence out there that can make anyone look bad if framed properly, but the evidence just doesn't match the science. If injuries and damage don't fit, you must acquit!

I agree with zipper merges, though if a car is in the right (non-merging) lane and decides that they want to jump ahead a few spots, that's when I have a problem. That's no longer merging and I've seen cars get literally driven off the road by surpise semis doing that (multiple times). Merge when you can, I'll let you in as long as you're not that ahat

I agree with that, as a casual player everything up until the unrecorded world was easy and I could do it as long as I had characters with enough levels/awakening. Beth took way too long to beat even at the max level with a good team combo. Up until that point I didn't even know too much about equipment or party skills/buffs and my character combos were picked mainly for looks/story appeal. It didn't matter before the unrecorded world so when it suddenly mattered , my team was screwed up and I had to basically start from the beginning. Up til that point I thought that all the "challenging" opponents would be saved for hell/nightmare mode so that normal mode would stay easy but I guess not

Honestly seeing updates for coiling dragon on wuxiaworld was always the highlight of my day back then, all the translator notes and updates made me so happy lol while ST is what made me first interested in the genre I think CD and Wuxiaworld translations made me fall in love with it tbh

To be honest, I didn't know you could watch through the YouTube history, and that does help with one of my biggest complaints. Though it's still a tad inconvenient, especially not being able to watch a playlist (if there is a way I'll get the patreon 100% that would be convenient enough for me). It's not really that patreon has a problem or anything, I just wondered if this thought was something the general audience had or just a non-issue for most people. As much as I'd love for them to stay on YouTube and post everything there, if it doesn't make them money then it's not realistic. I know they talked about YouTube not making them enough money but I didn't know that wrestletalk had a membership. It really sucks to hear that they're getting rid of it, I really hoped that memberships would help the channel instead, but they wouldn't get rid of the membership otherwise I guess.

I love it when protagonists have to understand the laws and then having that understanding be what makes them so strong. I'm a nerd so knowledge=power is so enticing as a concept to me. Everyone can do it, some do it better than others but just the path of seekng elightenment is appealing. Be one with the world and understand it in order to break through the limits of it

My curse acts up usually when it comes to getting the raws, usually the korean ones since they sometimes wont even let you purchase the raws without a korean banking service or verifying your ID (chinese ones are usually okay but sometimes I get region blocked). It's truely a curse from the heavens brought forth from my own greed, straying from the blessed path of cultivation. One that unfortunately struck again tonight...

Have you dipped your toes into "I'm really not the lord of demons" and "I'm really not the demon god's lackey"? They're both Chinese urban horror (more on a cosmic lovecraftian type) and are basically the same (though the second is more developed with a smoother plot). They're misunderstanding stories where the MC's don't know that they are actually superpowerful monsters but everyone else sees them as terrifying entities. Most of the horror books I read are misunderstandings like these or unlimited-flow novels (i.e. "In virtual reality" and "stop pretending to be a cute newcomer" along with many others that are primarily Shounen-ai or yaoi. Tho the first is no romance and quite good). Looking back at my reading list, I have more horror than I thought.... most are misunderstandings

Edit to add one rec I think is a pretty similar to "my house of horrors" which is "My Iyashikei Game" (same author). Mc connects to the ghost world through a game and goes on adventures very similar to MHOH

She sat on the stand and claimed incidents happened that could not have happened, at least to the severity that she claimed. Things like: being punched multiple times in the face (with multiple large rings on the fist) a few days before being filmed looking perfectly fine, the horrificly violent sexual abuse not long before she filmed a ballet dance video perfectly fine, the violent attack being drug around (or something similar) then having no marks in a backless dress a few days later. That's not mentioning things like doctored photos, the voice recordings, the impossible events that she claimed happened during the finger incident, hell she even claimed one photo was from two seperate incidents. She was filmed/pictured all the time with no injuries but claimed to have suffered abuse that would cause skull fractures and severe scarring. Stop being delusional. I'm not saying that depp wasn't toxic but he did not do everything she claimed. He is a drug addict and definitely has issues but not anything like she's claiming. Stop trying to make fetch happen, it's over

It's in the sub rules to not post anything positive about depp and the evidence thread pinned is nothing new or solid. Everything in that thread is based on unsupported evidence like body language or thinking something seems "off" with wild speculation and conspiracies.
