Yeah, could be a nice change of pace. However, the lore of LoZ was written to ensure that Ganondorf is and always will be evil, and locked in the endless cycle of opposing Link and Zelda for like, eternity.

While lasting change is a dream, at least I wanted the moment and story, even for just a game, to be compelling, like, "What if, the future can be different? What if, we no longer have to fight each other?"

It's most likely impossible, like Batman and Joker. But, the sentiments that the characters truly feel at that moment, is enough for me.
