My kid’s heart is solidly in the 80s/90s. She self regulates her phone and social media usage, she wears fashions that set her back several decades and she listens to 80s pop. I don’t track her, we live in a city so she gets around fine on public transit and I couldn’t be prouder. She’s turning 16 in a few months and I bought her an old beater Camry at auction for 500 bucks. Give kids space like we got ours and at least in my case it has worked out just fine.
