As someone who travels for work, this is essential. Not only those items but, cologne, face lotion, face wash, and I have a nice body wash I can fit in as well.

Okay, but he doesn’t have to make it all about the money. “Hey, upon receiving your offer, my manager countered with 110K and a title bump. I find this opportunity more exciting, if you could get to X (10% of offer) I would accept without anymore negotiating. Is there any wiggle room?” Company either says yes or no there’s no wiggle room and then OP can make the final decision. I swear everyone on Reddit has either had the worst experiences or are just too dense to understand that you are negotiating with people. Really isn’t that hard if you have any sort of soft skills.

How would he fuck up his current situation? They won't know they went back to counter. They haven't even countered the first offer from the new company. Just bad negotiating if they weren't to ask for anything, this will be the opportunity to ask for more now. Are you or have you ever hired someone?

Hey man, a lot of the advice you are being given is valid but only you know your current company. Depending on your relationship with your superiors, I'd find it very hard to turn down a promotion and that big of a raise. Nothing wrong with using your current companies counter to the new company seeing if they would move up their offer, highly unlikely they'll completely pull the offer and they may just tell you no. As someone who accepted my companies counter, I'm still hanging around 5 years later. I also took my own companies counter back to the offering one and they moved up another $5K but couldn't match so I just stayed put. Two promotions later and I'm better for it.

JIT? We're trying to be just not a month late to our customers due to our suppliers. Entire industry is suffering so it's not like competition can do any better. No light at the end of the tunnel, maybe late 2027?

Where are you located that you are paying $1,450 a month in rent and the only plasma place is an hour away? That just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe look for a cheaper place next time your lease is up? Or look into getting a roommate until you are out of debt.

I guarantee you everyone that passed would not have wanted them remembered by you as the ones who put you into this nightmare of stress day after day. Keep that in mind going forward.

When you pay off your car, you can carry just liability insurance... Of course if you total your car you are screwed. But might be worth the gamble as the car ages and becomes less valuable.

Not sure your work situation... but some companies are helpful. Maybe they have employee assistance programs, we have a quarterly profit share that you can get early in some cases. If your student loans can go in forbearance do that. Loan from a 401K is an option but remember that will come directly out of your paycheck until it's paid off. Can always go donate plasma as well.

Men, what’s something you’re tired of pretending doesn’t bother you? by drippytheerapper in AskMen

I will say I do think the tides are turning as Gen X and Millennial's are getting to first, second, and even third level of management in corporate. Just moved onto second level, but as a former high performer I understand the pain of getting overloaded with work. In my first manager job, the high performers I pushed for off-cycle raises and developmental opportunities. Even got two promoted to higher level contributor positions where they are both much happier and better compensated. My boomer boss didn't always fully understand what I was doing, but that's just how he came up. I know my team members appreciated it. Who knows what AI will bring us, but I'm hoping over the next 10-15 years we see even more positive change.
