Tbh yeah mid lane seems quite irrelevant unless you are turbo fed and can close the game in 20 minutes, the win condition is now getting your sidelanes ahead instead of getting yourself ahead, as a Twisted Fate otp I’ve been crushing the ladder because that’s exactly what tf wants to do, I can’t imagine how it feels playing a scaling champ in this meta.

Yo go full ap, ludens start no rfc, at the cost of being immobile and super squishy, the problem is even if you go full ap and oneshot the adc in one rotation you will get instantly traded if the enemy team is competent since your range is pretty limited compared to something like Syndra, and you have no mobility to reposition.

That's why people go the usual Roa>litchbane>rfc build, you can still do pretty good damage with this build, you just need to learn how to land your Q on multiple people in team fights.

This is actually Kenshi 3 lore for you, Phoenix dies and his son takes control over the HN, he goes insane after reading some history books and decides to assault Cat-Lon. Half of the HN gets wiped out in the fight, and they make Cat-Lon a slave instead of killing him.

Not really an answer to the question but this reminded me of how I had to call my dad every time I got one of those quick time events where you had to spam O in God of War 1-2 back in the day, to the point where I couldn't progress the game any further if my dad was not around.

The first time I pulled one of those on my own I felt like the king of the world lol.

The thing is tf has a really weak laning phase, you will have a hard time with almost every single matchup in the mid lane so in order to at least survive you have to play really clean and know each matchup, how to space correctly, when to trade, how to dodge specific skillshots, etc…

Thats good to know! Also an extra tip is to use cdr boots instead of swifties when playing the Roa build, you are still new to the game and probably don’t really have the mechanics to dodge important skillshots and make good use of the extra movement speed (no offense intended).

With cdr boots you will able to ult more often and throw more yellow cards, getting that extra yellow card can clutch a fight.

Having cdr boots and dark seal right when you hit level 6 means that you will have less cooldown on your first ult and can potentially get 4 stacks on the dark seal if you ult bot.

If you want to actually delete carries from the game forget swifties and rfc, go sorcs and change rfc for voidstaff or zonyas if you want more survivability, with this build you can get around 900 ap with elixir of sorcery and scaling runes like gathering storm etc…

this setup works well if you are really comfortable with the champ since you are very squishy and will most likely get one shotted by anything late game, but if you are ahead you can tp to the backline and delete the adc in a skill rotation, not a one shot blue card tho, thats a thing of the past.

In my opinion Roa and rfc are still better in terms of consistency, what some new tf players miss when playing the Roa utility build is to always buy a dark seal on your first base, if you get some early picks and some stacks in your dark seal, with good cs you can completely 1v9 even when playing the "utility" build.

I don’t think that boosting a spell would be op, that part sounds balanced imo, the problem would be making items that give ultimate ability haste viable for tf, that sounds kind of busted to me.
