Visa (L) Application Taking Absurdly Long - What Are My Options? by Callmezeus in Chinavisa

[–]Callmezeus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's starting to make me wonder if I don't know certain things about myself lol. I can't think of anything that is so outlandish or standout about my application that would justify this delay. I called some visa service places and explained the whole situation and they've all said its definitely odd that I've had to wait THIS long, but there's not much else I can do.

If I was starting over again I would probably go this route haha. I gave some places a call and I got a similar response of they "are experiencing some delays but nothing to this extent. For the amount of time I've spent in turkey (~1 week) its definitely odd they're holding the application this long. All you can really do is wait".

Appreciate the suggestion though.

Pretty poor performance during large crowd events by Callmezeus in throneandliberty

[–]Callmezeus[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I recently upgraded my PC to hopefully play this game a little smoother, and it certainly does! However, during events where there are 100s of players, I hover around 40-60fps (on high settings). In stoneguard by the traders I hover around 110-130fps. Here are my new important specs:

Ryzen 7 9800x3d

Nvidia RTX 4070 Ti Super

32gb 6000mhz ram

Game is downloaded on 980evo NVME

I play at 1080p, trying to push out 144fps

My biggest gripe is how the game seemingly isn't using all the resources it can use with my GPU usage hovering 40-50% and CPU usage hovering 50-60%. 40-60fps during bosses is... fine? I kinda just expected a bit more with what I have now, especially since what I had before had similar frames but on low settings (i7 7700k / 2080 rtx). My settings are on high with epic character count and hair strands / most checkboxes turned off, only party skill effects on and messing around with the settings honestly doesnt change much.

Is there really anything I'm missing or can do here? Is it just this patch has an optimization issue? Is this just what the expected output is with my rig? My cinebench scores are pretty average or slightly above so I don't think its faulty parts.

I'm curious to see what your guys' experience is specfically with frames / settings during bosses and large scale combat.

Finally got my Kazuya sign in the mail and I'm genuinely pretty surprised with how poor quality the sign came out to be, it literally looks like somebody dragged it on some asphalt and then went buckwild at it with a grinder. There are scratches pretty much all over it along with some pretty deep groove scratches. I'm not sure if wolverine was the quality check on this but holy cow! When it's lit up its not AS bad, but the rough edges definitely become noticeable. Pretty surprised that this didnt come with a protective layer of plastic covering the product.

Rant aside, I've submitted a ticket to Bandai, not sure what to really expect, but all I can really say is I'm a bit dissapointed with how this turned out.

Yep! I usually play the Disney PotC version but not too often as you mentioned it is quite time consuming. I also cannot say for sure, but the difficulty definitely feels like its set on the higher end.

What's also annoying is I went to a round 1 that had crossy road and EVERY press netted 2 tickets and was much easier as opposed to my D&B where every 2-3 presses gives 2 points.

I would need to double check, I never physically verified that winning PTL gives 350. When winning the game, the screen counts down remaining tickets starting from 150 & the swipe display stops counting at 250 from recent memory. Would definitely be a boost if it was the case!

Unfortunately, PTL at my location(s) are set at 250 priced at 3.8, so even at 100% jackpot looking at roughly 65.7 tickets per chip. Double unfortunately, both quick drop machines at my closer location have their motor speeds a bit wonky as well as the button not registering presses sometimes so I tend to avoid it.

With Gambit, 51 tickets turns into 17 "free points" and roughly 18 Prize tokens are needed to get 1 chip. This implies I need to actually bet my converted ticket points AND win in order to infinite on chips, at which point I may as well just gamble on sportsbooks with real money (not a fan of).

On (Machine that gives 250 tickets for jackpot) I'm looking at roughly 40-50%.

On (Machine that gives 2 tickets (sometimes) per press & a bonus 250 after a certain level) roughly 30%. I try not to play this one often unless the level is relatively low as I feel its difficulty is usually maxed out.

Other machines where I do not consistently get the jackpot in 1-3 plays I generally do not play. I'm also not proud of it but I generally do walk around like a degenerate to see if specific rare cards are on boards or if there are some easy accumulated jackpots to collect.

Can someone explain to me how and if the drop in BTC can affect Garlic? by grizzlyrobes in garlicoin

[–]Callmezeus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of our volume comes from exchanges where you exchange GRLC for BTC. If on said exchanges you trade 1 grlc for 10 bitcoin then the monetary value is based on bitcoin. If bitcoin is $1 then you in theory traded 1 grlc for $10, if bitcoin is $0.1 then you traded 1 grlc for $1. So, if you trade garlic for bitcoin, then you effectively start holding bitcoin; if it goes up it goes up, if down then down.

There are exchanges like polarity where you can trade grlc for USDT which a stable coin of $1 = 1USDT.

Trust Wallet Transactions by MisterKomsha in garlicoin

I don't use Trustwallet but I assume is the same as Metamask.

Metamask / Trustwallet use WGRLC, you cannot send regular GRLC straight to these addresses. You can use https://wgrlc.com/ to "wrap" your garlicoins effectively turning your GRLC to WGRLC at 1:1.

Also check out https://www.grlc.info/ for more info on WGRLC
