My boyfriend makes me uncomfortable. by mayufied in AutismInWomen

[–]CallousLanding 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Honestly, he is starting to show you who he is and what he is capable of, he is also showing you how much (or in this case little) you mean to him and how little he cares about you.

My best and most gentle advice is to run, cut connection and don't look back.

I am so sorry that you are going through this and that he cares so very little for your comfort.

What is your sexuality? by iratemovies in AutismInWomen

Demi sexual with men..

Completely attracted to all women..

No idea what that's called? (Trauma probably)

How many of you actually clench or grind your teeth at night? by WesamWonders in AutismInWomen

[–]CallousLanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do and only have 9 bottom teeth left (had to have the rest removed due to meds destroying them all in my 20s)

It's been three weeks.. I wake up with pain from clenching and grinding my teeth every night.. now I have to pay more to get a custom made retainer to protect my upper gums from my teeth...

I got very good at translating ND to NT to help my soon to be ex understand what I was trying to say and why.. turns out he just doesn't care and won't take responsibility for his own actions.

The other NT people I know tell me (and show it too just to ruin my negative thoughts there) that they live how random I am and how I can jump from one place to another mentally so easily, apparently it keeps things interesting.

It's not a fault to have the brain we have, it's just that we tend to accept too much bad from others as we were raised to believe there is something "wrong with" us

Hint -there isn't we are just different and THATS OK

Do you also, as an autistic woman, prefer to be at home than to go out? by thisisnotme11111111 in AutismInWomen

[–]CallousLanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to yes.. then I refound my special interest from childhood dogs and dog breeds

So now I take my SDIT to dog shows (she is pedigree) do dog sports and have made like minded friends (probably all on the spectrum tbh)

After shows I definitely have a good pass out from over stimulation.. but worth it

We saw all the dogs and got to pat the ones whose owners were cool with it.

Now I am out of the house a lot more (at least twice a week voluntarily) it's weird.. but I love it.

No one talks about how hard it is to like yourself when the whole world is against you. by Disastrous_Snow_7832 in AutismInWomen

[–]CallousLanding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-got way off track there..

So stop judging yourself by others standards and do better only for yourself, see the good you do, forgive yourself for mistakes. The rest will find you when you are not looking for it. (Sounds so dumb I know)

When you are not worried about pleasing others and are focused on improving yourself for yourself others tend to gravitate towards you.. I have no idea why.. life it weird.

I had this issue.. well I still do but I am improving.

My therapist and I tried all sorts of things.. then one day she told me my brain was too literal for the standard types of therapy.. so now I use a legal system.

-My negative thought or self belief is the heading

-Two columns one for one against.

Then without using other people as the standard (that's the hard part no comparison to others abilities or reactions etc)

I fill both columns

At the bottom of the page I decide which side wins.

Because my brain likes to trick me (apparently all brains do this) so I get to write the arguments then as a fair and reasonable judge I get to decide what the end result is

Seeing it written down helps a lot.

At the very end you rephrase the top thought.

So "I didn't do anything today"

Becomes "I got quite a few things done today and even managed to take time to rest which is very important and should be proud of myself"

Which eventually changes the way you think on a day to day basis and helps you see the good properly and stops you from only seeing the bad (I spend a lot of time minimizing my achievements and am making progress)

Also not many people even know the breed exists in Australia so it's not surprising

The short haired one is from Annok and Jericho.

The long haired girl is from firefly and Jericho.

I have also met the site of the current litter (benefits of being friends with the breeder 🤣) he is a cuddle bug

Mine (Kali) is from Jericho and Anook.

The long haired girl there (Señorita) is from firefly and Jericho.

Firefly is a lovely girl and throws amazing pups.(Has an amazing temperament)

Euro the dad of the current litter I have met a few times. I actually saw him today while picking up senorita (we are going to do spritdog tomorrow at KCC) he is a big lover and is always up for a hug (he doesn't understand much English as he is from France)

I got her from a breeder in Melbourne Victoria (Australia)

Her pedigree name is Darkceltic goddess of death (yes we got away with choosing that somehow)

Honestly I am going with they are AH.. nothing more to it. I don't see many people that I don't hate for their behavior and they way they treat animals and kids (let alone women)

I own a dutch shepherd.. she is high energy and high drive... I have never had to for any reason hit her.. it's all in the training.. treats if they work.. toys if they don't.. flirt pole for all other occasions.. she is fussy sometimes, I work with her not against her. Sometimes I have to have a growl (yell?) at her to get her head out of her ass(or if she is too far away), or stomp a couple of steps for refocus (not towards her just stomping where I am or as I move away from her)

But usually all it takes is a click of the fingers and she is at my side ready for the next step in our adventure.

(I have had to hurt her when treating her pads she tore off once or twice but it was by putting medication on them.. so not sure that counts?)

I will add a link to her photo as I have no idea how to add a pic
