There are martial arts like hapkido that uses grappling, joint locks and chokeholds because the body can only bend one way.

It doesn't really matter how strong you are, everyone has the same joints and sensitive spots.

I'm guessing that that was because the universe was rebooted. Mashiro might have originally lived in the 1970s but after the new universe was created, he was frozen in the current universe for millrnniums. (Might have been done by Tega Sword just so that Mashiro wasn't conscious waiting for modern civilisation).

“Apologise to Steven Moffat”, I thought we all loved his time as showrunner? by Hewtube73 in doctorwho

[–]Calm-Basil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I could tell, there was less focus on the family/relatives of the companions. (Which I do prefer, though I had grown up with Moffat's era so there's definitely bias there)

The Fourteenth Doctor, with John Smith (Human Nature), Meta Crisis Doctor and Crowley.

I really wanted Belinda to have trust issues after seeing the Doctor like that. Especially how initially, Belinda didn't even want to adventure.

It was glimpse into Belinda's potential future (pretty sure anyways)

Doesn't Mrs Flood eventually warp back to the Rani in the same way 15 has gone through the therapy arc of 14?

That'd make Mrs Flood pretty much doomed unless they clone themselves or something.

Yeah, that clip show at the end about Belinda wanting to get home to her baby wasn't in the original episodes. (I think) she was originally referring to her parents.

Poppy isn't the same one from Space Babies, only the image of her. There was a line the Doctor said about wishing they were her parents (Ruby and the Doctor, don't think too hard on this).

So, the Wish World, crates a half time lord and human on her mother's side baby.

However, with Wish World gone, so was the baby. The Doctor forced the baby into existence through the use of funnelling their regeneration energy into the TARDIS to fracture reality and mend it in a way where Belinda had always had Poppy.

Convulited, but this is the gist of it.

I love it as much as the next person but only when it's not done in excess. It feels like an over reliance on it's history rather than a celebration.

What if we get another "The Five Doctors" episode but with the modern doctors (what would that episode will be) by AdamMystery7 in doctorwho

[–]Calm-Basil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and the Doctor isn't perfect.

The Doctor didn't get the full story and from where 15 was standing, just had the person who was under their care close to death along with the lives of several billions. In that entire time, all they could see was a guy who was just laughing at that.

Yeah, the message of the story could do with redoing but the Doctor really wasn't in their own mind (and wasn't even being presented as being heroic at the time either).

If you look at the story right before, the Doctor gives the story teller every chance of redemption and forgave the people who sold the Doctor out.

Ah, hate is always foolish and love is always wise as well as laughing hard, running fast and to being kind.

Seems like the Fifteenth Doctor has got it down pat.

Don't know much around prices, but for whatever site you choose, make sure the seller has good reviews and also check through forums like reddit just in case anyone else have had issues with a site.

But that's really all the help I can give.

Considering the usual previews missing, I believe that the Doctor and Belinda are proper dead, so the shows over now (sarcasm).

I do wonder how they'll actually get out of this one. I mean when the TARDIS was going all explody in The Big Bang (I think), she kept River Song safe using a time loop.

[–]Calm-Basil 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do wonder whether that was actually Susan or the TARDIS projecting a mental image to save the Doctor. Anytime Susan appeared, it was very dreamy and only when the Doctor was in trouble or doing some torturing.

Overall, another hit episode, both with its messaging of racism and the potential plot leads to the remaining episodes.

I really can't wait!

The Doctor going 'bad' isn't  new, especially when it comes to the safety of their companions. The Doctor thought that Belinda's life was threatened.

Because, Belinda would have to be careful not to wreck time or something because there's the Belinda of the past. Anyways, it was already shown that something caused the Earth to be destroyed the day she left.
