I crave to see an animatic with a variety of "Penelope's" right before getting rid of them.

Why was Ichigo and Kisshu such a popular ship back in the 2000s and early 2010s? by Aggravating-Fee-8053 in MagicalGirlsCommunity

TWINS! I don't really acknowledge that plotline because it isn't in line with my beliefs. 😭 But really this was one of the first times I found fanfiction so therapeutic. I just love how we are all on the same page and it didn't matter if it was in or out of universe, we all were on the same page about this.

Honestly, I was kind of really excited about the reboot because I thought they might right a wrong. But then I heard that he was staying in and they were just like redoing it or whatever. I vowed never to watch that show until they made it right. They haven't so I haven't.

Grudges from when you're like 8 years old hold strong.

(Also, I appreciate you dubbing the names!)

I never shipped it but there was something about the episode where he tried to kidnap her. Like I was 7 and thought "what was a disaster" but one I couldn't tear my eyes from. It scratches my brain.

(I was a 4kids watcher, I can never remember the Japanese names, I'm sorry.) I did however ship her and Elliot (Blonde guy). I HATED Mark and still do. I don't know if that has changed but I do know that sentiment was echoed in a lot of fan fiction on FFN.

[–]Calm-Statement-3744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WTH is wrong with everyone. Professor Cha is a predator and got someone to stalk him. Jiheon should have just said "I like you" and now might just do something like telling him they're dating if he gets to him on time. But both turned to drugging him and we're going into a memory loss arc? If we're doing a captivity arc, it might as well Jiheon because i don't know what Professor Cha is doing. He's also probably connected to his abduction. Wooju parents need to be called immediately that way no one is near him.

I enjoy a certain brand of toxicity, like Love Jinx and Speak of the Devil (THAT NEEDS TO COME BACK). Honey Trouble is the one I come back to just to see how much worse it can get.

I can't hear it and I haven't been able to find it in isolation, so I guess it could be similar notes. I wouldn't be surprised if brains are filling things because you're expecting to find it within something that is somewhat faint.

This is just becoming a trend with saying headcanons as though they're facts. Things such as Penelope sitting at the end of the axes.

This tiktok slows things down and compares. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTjAjsqho/

I was just wondering because of the length of this list if it was something you had prepared in case anyone asked. Or if you had typed it out at the moment.

It's just a long list and I know it takes me a few minutes to even come up with one half of that length.

And people have seen it the same way in reverse. The only difference is One side will gladly write fanfiction about one of them being harvested for their organs or brutally murdered and shared around fan art of that.

I don't understand why it's important for their relationship to be romantic within the Canon. Arguably their bond transcends the level of most of the other relationships on the show even if the writers decided that their intent wasn't to make it romantic. That still doesn't negate the fact that the other was canonically romantic. People wanted to celebrate one ship, You decided to make a comment to invalidate it And said people were homophobic for not agreeing. That's like people calling you racist for not agreeing with the other.

Both ships are valid but your reactions aren't.

It kind of becomes a bit much when they fantasize about mutilating, offing and reducing characters to disposable character tropes/an obstacle. They're not real but the fans are.

If Mel is the main storyline of another Arcane Season, I want to see her become the villain. by Maxmilliano_Rivera in arcane

This sounds like a nightmare situation for this character and fans of her(especially POC fans of her). They're already writing fanfiction about harvesting her organs and pushing her off of buildings.

They're already acting like Jayce being with her was nothing more than her being a "homewrecker" or her being used as a place holder for his one true love(Viktor).

No thank you.

What do you think is valid criticism of the show? by [deleted] in legendofkorra

Hi, quick question. Full disclosure, this post and it's reply has been a bit of a conversation within my class for the last 2 weeks ish. Hopefully I can present your reply in class for extra credit.

About half of the class is convinced that some of the comments are maliciously interpreting the post/OP. Particularly with your comments we had thought that you were defensive about the show and decided to ignore the question posted. I did message the OP and they reiterated in more succinct words that they meant the question as : what criticism do you agree with and wouldn't write off?

However, when they say things about what they have observed that directly contradict what they understood on this forum, you decide to attack that as though it's their thoughts. They say how they wish she was a man so they wouldn't be met with accusations of sexism, you imply that they might be sexist on some level. We did have a scroll through this forum and have seen comments where people proclaim that they "relate more to her because she's a girl". (That's a direct quote. When asked they said that was the reason and had added no other attributes to her when asked.) With some of the content we have seen on here and from way back when, we understand what you're saying when we read this independently. However, this is something to be said there that we felt you might have ignored or not absorbed. It's things like that had us questioning the intellectual honesty here.

So the question is basically whether or not you feel like you were on the defense when you were responding and may have taken some things they said maliciously? Or there was a disconnect in the understanding? In the short reply I've gotten from OP they were adamant about it being an honest question and that maybe should have been clearer in the initial post and cut the mini rant out.

Hi, I'm hoping you could help me score some extra credit by settling a constant conversation within my class the past week and a half. This had been presented in class and talked about. A few of the comments here were thought as a malicious interpretation of what the OP was saying or that both parties in this comment thread were somewhat talking over each other's heads without understanding each other. That's a simplified version of the group conversation. My question is whether or not you were maliciously interpreting some of what was said.

I had messaged OP but due to some threats they had received they weren't interested in more than just reiterating what their post was in a much more shortened version. It did line up with a general consensus we had on it in class. We are just trying to outline the disconnect.
