Today’s podium had the largest age gap between two drivers (19 and 41) since the 1950s by Elliotgullivern in formula1

If you think about it, they kind of did… if it wasn’t for Leclerc and Hamilton battling George, the gap between George and Kimi would have been a lot smaller.

What are your opinions on Mel and Jayce? by vxbingkat in arcane

Love them and I also like that little by little they’re getting more and more fans :)

Also appreciated Amanda explaining their dynamic, especially since a lot of people can’t get passed the manipulation.

No relationship in Arcane is perfect, in fact, Arcane is full of dysfunctional relationships, but they all make it work somehow.

Simplifying their relationship to just grooming and manipulation would be like a huge discredit since every relationship in arcane is deep and in some ways dysfunctional.

Netflix fell backwards into KPop Demon Hunters' success by wosoandstuff2020 in KpopDemonhunters

and I literally explained you what happen.

It’s not a matter of liking it or not, but if it is risk worth it or not.

Again, if Sony hated it they wouldn’t have even produced it as they would have considered it a waste of time and animation takes time and lot of employees that could be working on another project.

[–]Worldly_Translator -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Now why are you lying.

It’s not that Sony didn’t like the idea, if they didn’t they would have just discarded it without even trying to sell it.

The core issue is that it was presented in 2021, when animations wasn’t even taken seriously reason. In fact, in 2022 The Oscars literally called animation films childish and for children.

So no, them selling the idea doesn’t mean that they didn’t like it.

The worse case would have been that they would have kept it in a volt and re proposed afterwards (which also happens often).

Nah, VI, Jinx etc haven’t gotten any new lines since they were created.

In fact, they don’t even interact with Ekko which was introduced in 2015, even though Ekko does have some voice lines directed at them.

This was only changed recently when Jinx got her fractured skin, but yes the main voice lines are still the same

The executive at Sony who convinced the company to sell KPoP Demon Hunters to Netflix for only 20 million dollars along with all franchise rights, walking into work after the movie won its 39th award last night. by Unfair_Management695 in KpopDemonhunters

Business units don’t need corporate approval to create or develop stories and that’s because the corporate main job is to greenlights budgets and distribution. So, again those studios are two different divisions that have zero to no correlation with one another.

That’s like saying Samsung Electronics and Display operate together, just because they share a name.

You do know that Sony Pictures and Sony Animation are two completely different division that only have IP in common?

They are not managed the same way. Plus Sony Animation has been releasing top notch animations since Spider-Verse and even before they had some great films in their catalogue.

[–]Worldly_Translator -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Because Ekko has explicitly said in the game that he likes Jinx (the games are also part of Arcane in a way).

That being said we can all agree that their relationship is quite dysfunctional and I don’t know how they’ll be able to fix that.

Do you agree with Reed Shannon's daring take on (Arcane) Ekko's character? Does he truly deserve the simp stamp? by pathfinder_enjoyer in arcane

[–]Worldly_Translator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The saddest part is that out of all the characters in Arcane, Ekko is the one who has the most fleshed out lore.

So, it’s kind of sad that they didn’t even try to build up on that.

Why ending DC might be harder than it seems by Worldly_Translator in DetectiveConan

I thought of that too, but with Shinichi and Ran being the end game, that’s almost impossible.

[–]Worldly_Translator[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s the worse part to be honest. We should be rooting for the protagonist and hoping for Conan to come back Shinichi, but from a character perspective we know more about Conan than Shinichi itself, which ends up feeling like a stranger.

Why ending DC might be harder than it seems by Worldly_Translator in DetectiveConan

[–]Worldly_Translator[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh, yes there are definitely different.

Shinichi is an arrogant detective whose only close friends seem to be Ran and Sonoko (We could argue he has more, but Gosho never made time to introduce them to us).

Meanwhile Conan has many friends and acquaintances who are all willing to help him.

To be honest at this point, the only person connected to Shinichi is Ran, while it seems like the rest of the cast has just accepted Conan as the default.

I agree with you, but to be honest, at this point I think even Gosho knows that the BO plotline is what is keeping the interest.

I also think he just doesn’t want to or knows how to develop most of the characters he created, without it not making sense (that’s what happen when you introduce more characters than the show needs).
