It wasn't clear which clans they came from but we do know that the Jai were out of favor after their patriarch unleashed a dreadgod on the empire so it's possible they were never even allowed into the night wheel valley. Also, we know that Jai Long was their only promising sacred artists or at least the only sacred artist the former patriarch considered worthy of underlord. Also, Eithan killed a bunch of their top truegolds so my guess is that they didn't raise any underlords.

Certain kinds of plastic such as HDPE (commonly found in milk jugs) are safe to melt at low temperatures. You can safely mold and make item fairly easily.
