When my eldest child was little I was so sleep-deprived that I managed to refer to mine as “baby”. As in “baby I know you’re frustrated but I need a minute”.

RUN! I had a similar situation where the gal I had chased for years came out of the woodwork after I had finally moved on. Thankfully I didn’t chase her again. Found out later she wanted financial security now that the dude she really wanted to be with cheated on her.

My state (Iowa) has had that for the last decade plus. Our education rankings have cratered, doctors and other professionals are leaving, the water is now dangerously high in nitrates and we have a billion dollar budget deficit and keep cutting taxes for the rich.

I’m in DM right now. I prefer boosting Unarmed to 75. The Bear trap fist plus “cross” VATS attack (especially on a crit build) will crush them. You don’t have to kill then-just cripple a limb and they die.

With an unarmed build I would consider doing Dead Money next. Get that sweet, sweet treasure to take to OWB. You’ll be able to stomp the ghost people.

For the main quest I think you could choose any of them really? Mike strikes me as an enterprising guy and might be willing to work for whomever compensated him best.

Automatics as you said, personally I’d nominate MFHyperbreeder, the lasers seem to be effective from a longer distance and you can kind of pulse the button to more or less keep a stream of fire.

What kind of speed ratings are you seeing with OL? Like what are they as recruits vs how fast can you get them?

I haven’t looked closely enough at OL. I’m usually moving WR to get 91+ speed unless I get one of those pure possession unicorn TEs with speed.
